It was very predictable for me…

I knew the one who majority was rooting for (Carly) wouldn’t win. Tate will do well in country music I’m sure, but of the 3 finalists Fifth Harmony was the only one I felt had the most stage presence. They’re all talented, but the other 2 didn’t have the “x factor” as you say. But congrats.

    Well….he’s a definite future flop.

although i think that carly has a better voice, tate needs the money for his family and im sure someone will pick up carly and give her a recording contract :)

Carly Rose Sonenclar is the supper star of all supper stars. She will go farther than any singer before her time has ever gone, I think Simon will have to rethink how the winner is chosen.

after the new year no one will remember this generic country singer that always seems to win over middle america.

    butch Says:

Tate won becuase of the 3 way finals format. if it had gone down to two finalists the Carly would have won easily. Fifth Harmony took votes away from Carly that would never have gone to Tate. The 3 way finals format does not result in the best candidate winning if two of the candidates share the same demo/voting block the way that Carly and 5th Harmony did.

I didn’t watch nor care that much, but he will do well especially since he does country music and it seems like the country artist from these talent shows end up doing better than contestants from different genres.

    taylor Says:

are you f*&^ing serious. Carly is WAY BETTER THAN TATE. WTF happened. This show is rigged. i’m done watching

  13. 13
    butch Says:

it wasn’t rigged. It is just a flawed finals format if they really want to find America’s favorite.

the answer is easy..USA Always choce bad!! most of the winners are forgotten….!! the people who is in the 2dn or 3rd place do better in the future!! i hope the best for carly!!

Tate deserved to win , he is talented and more experience. Carly is very young and sheneed to be a child and enjoy her youth. We already have seen enough example including her mentor Brtiney and Demi crash and burn form fame.

    Maria Says:

Not expecting much …………… unless he finds really good songs. Vocals alone wouldn’t make a break. And, he doesn’t have teeny followers like Scotty. Just sayin …. Plus, track records say only AI winners have some success, so far.

Out of other talent shows, only Jackie Evancho is having some success with live TV shows/ CDs etc. She wasn’t even a winner !

Can Khloe Kardashian say “AMAZING” one more time???????????????

Carly should have won. But whatever. She’ll sell more records anyways so it’s all good.

    Stephanie Says:

    Carly should have won!

Tate won because of his history. =//

    KissThis Says:

Personally I don’t see any of these 3 acts making it big now that the show is done. None of them have that extra something special or star quality. There are many other unknowns on the rise who are better. Just my opinion.

  23. 23 Says:

@Maria: Actually the country competitions like Can you duet? and Nashville Star have produce more successful talent than American Idol. And that is with non- winners not just winners. Tate is a great artists and did deserve to win. Everyone in the top deserved to win. It is not right for you (as in anyone) to personally take that way from him that he does have talent. Because obviously he does. But what a lot of people do not think about and others do It that Carly is so young that she has so much she can do outside of x-factor now she can be signed outside of x-factor not be limited and not matter what she will make a career out of singing either it be now or 5 years from now.

    sfu Says:

I am from england and have watched american x factor from the beging and have rooted for Tate Stevens since the beging, and so has my son I am so pleased he won as we both think he deserved to win, was worried to begin with that Carly would win but glad to see america saw fit to vote the country music all the way, I will wait now for his album to be released so that i can order it WELL DONE TATE

  25. 25
    Hannah Says:

As a Brit let me explain X Factor…the winner of the show is not necessarily guaranteed the most successful career in fact in England it’s seen as a curse to come first.

With the exception of maybe Leona Lewis most of the winners have gone on to have very limited domestic success.

How many Americans can tell me who Matt Cardle is? Doesn’t ring a bell, well he’s the guy who came first in 2010 the year One Direction were competing and came in at third.

The people who pick up the phone to vote for a TV show are not always going to go online and download a track or buy the album but majority of the music industry is comprised of very young customers hence why there aren’t many heavy metal/rock bands dominating the scene.
