Samantha recently talked with the Hufffington Post about how Les Miserables has changed her life.

“I think because it is a huge big change in my lifestyle, the way I kind of get through that is by trying to not freak myself out,” Samantha said. “Trying to not over-think too far and take every day that comes with gusto. The fact that there is a buzz around the film makes me burst with pride. I am honored to be involved in a project like this. To be involved in a moment of history for theater — and for theater to be translated onto film in this way, with a cast like this and a director like this — is the proudest moment of my life.”

Who ever edited the trailers should have edited the whole film! They make it look so much better than it is! This girl can sing though.

    To Tori

I totally disagree with you. Les Miz is a brilliant and wonderful film.

  • Tori

@mary: Parts of it are good, but it is quite flawed on the whole.

  • Léa

God, I hate how the Americans call this novel “Les Mis”. It’s “Les Misérables” ! Had to say it.
Besides, this movie looks good. Even if it’s strange to see Valjean singing

Went to see this with my wife Christmas night and was disappointed. The only high point was Eponine. When she started to sing, we realized she was Eponine in the stage production as well. We both thought Russell Crowe made a weak Javier and Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman were passable. Amanda Seyfried as Cosette was horrible. I kept waiting for the 7 dwarfs to come out when she started singing. If you’ve seen this on stage ( the full production not the stage concert), you wll be disappointed as well but is good if you’ve never seen it before.

@mary: Brilliant and wonderful stage production but the flm lacks.
