I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EPIC MOVIE!

Poor Tom!! His movie didn’t do that well!! But hey, that happens when you cast someone who is 5’7 (at his best days) to play a character who is 6’5 in the books!! Tiny Tom was not right for this movie!!

I saw Jack Reacher and it was good. Good acting, good fight scenes; that looked more realistic than what is in many movies today. It had enough plot twist and humor that kept my interest throughout the 2hrs 10 mins. The humor was well placed and did not seem forced.

An overall enjoyable movie experience for which I would give a solid B.

Also, the movie seems to have done as the studio projected – “Paramount is expecting $12 to $15 million for the weekend, which would put the movie on track to possible match Valkyrie’s $83.1 million total”

@Krix:
Say whatever you want about Tom but he’s the one with real work ethics and doesn’t flub the lines.

USA Today Weekend Roundup @ 12/23/2012 at 4:59 pm

“Reacher, too, could find the holidays lucrative. The film did $15.6 million, the upper end of most analysts’ expectations.
The action film scored a thumbs-up from 62% of critics, according to survey site Rottentomatoes.com. More importantly: 75% of moviegoers liked it, a critical score if it hopes to perform well through the holidays.”

RollingStoneBoxOffice Report @ 12/23/2012 at 5:06 pm

“None of this week’s earnings were huge numbers, but that’s to be expected on a Christmas weekend that saw no fewer than five new nationwide releases. Plus, movies in theaters at this time of year tend to have strong legs, lasting for weeks and racking up totals that belie their low openings. So none of these little guys has anything to complain about.”

“Tom Cruise’s ‘Jack Reacher’ Not Tall Enough to Punch ‘Hobbit’ Where It Hurts”

Welcome to the Box Office Report where the semantics of Jack Reacher’s height will be debated with much fervor.

So, the actual literary character Jack Reacher stands something like 6’5″ tall.. He also weighs roughly 250 pounds. Tom Cruise is maaaybe 5’7″. Maybe. He maaaybe weights 170 pounds soaking wet. He does not look a thing like Jack Reacher! This is a problem for some purists who think this movie is silly based on those facts alone. Those people are silly, we say. Tom Cruise can look really stern and sound intense and really that’s all you need to be an action star these days.

Jack Reacher debuted in seven minor territories this weekend and earned an estimated $2.5 million. According to Paramount Pictures International, the individual market grosses were close to Tom Cruise’s 2010 movie Knight & Day, which wound up with over $185 million in foreign earnings. The crime thriller reaches France, the U.K. and over 20 other markets this week.

Movie theaters were empty all weekend.

Jack Reacher kicked ass!

Tom might as well stick to franchises like MI because nothing else sells tickets for him. Quit with the excuses. This movie opened weak.

i work at cinema..such a boring movie….

@The Atlantic Wire: If its only about it being a good action movie then why bother basing it on an iconic and much-loved series of books and a famous character with special physical characteristics that define him? It would probably have made More money from an original action script – a lot of people (millions read the Reacher books) have been put off the film.

I’m a HUGE fan of Lord of the Rings but I was actually verydisappointed by this one. I just saw it yesterday night and it was so damn boring at the beginning that there was a guy sitting next to me who was SNORING. Like, really? The film needed a good hour or so to start. And omg don’t even get me started on the end!!!!!
