Jared, DA dropped another 9 percent and now the theater is only 38.1% full–I’d say if this keeps up you will have less than 2 months to see the play. They can’t afford to stay open if the play keeps on bombing like this.

Yet another fail for Katie with a Critic’s Score: F and so many box office bombs in the last couple of years, why dose she still think she can act, dance or design clothes.

I really think Katie should rethink her carreer and go some where privet and raise Suri and figure out what she actually good at because its not acting, dancing or designing clothes.

beautiful face :)

@@ You’re right that Holmes needs to figure out what she is good at, and that it IS NOT acting, singing, or dancing. She’s dismal at all three. In terms of figuring out what she IS good at, she seems to have had some success at deceiving very wealthy men and exploiting young children. Perhaps she could give that another shot.

Face it she wants and loves being in the spotlight where as the other ex Mrs Cruise Nicole Kidman has raw talent this sad pup didn’t. She wanted out and thought she could be across of Jackie Onasis and Kidman with award winning roles would fall at her feet and it did not happen.
What is even more sad is the fact, she’s not whom society pages want to see and follow but her 6 year old daughter Suri.

I’m sure she’s disappointed her play isn’t doing so well at the box office, but I doubt she has any regrets about leaving her ex husband. She has her freedom and got her daughter away from a cult. She seems so much healthier and happier these days.

@missy:

Katie knew about the “cult” before she met Cruise and got pregnant within 4 months of their relationship becoming public. [no excuse, anyone that has internet can google and besides she is in the entertainment business - Duh! - whispers AT LEAST]

She voluntarily distanced herself from friends (so called – haven’t seen her with any since her split) and her PR team; plus I’m sure her family voiced concerns. But, yet she -THREW CAUTION TO THE WIND? –yeah, right, Katie saw bank and a chance to raise her star status in the entertainment business.

Umm, but how to do that? – ahh, yes, become Tom Cruise’s baby’s mama.

She’s got Suri, the papz magnet, and the media’s fascination with the Scientology in-fighting (The Church and ex-Scientologist) that she will make sure to keep getting photographed (attempt to keep herself relevant) being the “wholesome, sweet mid-west mother” who became the modern day ‘not without my daughter’ poster-child. That’s the only ‘acting’ that Ms. Holmes is good at.

What’s up next? Bobbi Brown campaign? Seagull (and other unreleased projects)? Oh, how’s Holmes & Yang doing? How long can H&Y keep getting “celebrities” to be photographed wearing their “creations” – https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=514034351949249&set=a.371862192833133.90328.135824813103540&type=1&theater

She looks calm and happy. Good for her. You go katie !

@rubyz: Rubyz, rubys, rubyz…tut tut tut you sound green with envy. I guess that makes Tom’s other 4546327 wives the same then doesn’t it?

She does look happier, more of a twinkle in her eye. Being married to Tom must have really done a number on her . She’s probably just happy she’s doing something without him, professionally, happy to live her own life again, good for her.

Sincerely concerned @ 12/27/2012 at 8:23 am

@Sorella: could not agree more!!

I love her and her new life … whatever they say it is on the world on their own, took care of herself (never too late) and if not the best actress, the best mom, the best designer, etc, etc, etc, at least today is someone who wants to reclaim its former image of Mrs. Cruise (brainless, without a voice, a puppet of Cruise) and today, though perhaps not the best, at least someone tries to be positive remaking his life, as anyone who has been divorced, and that takes care of their own things. He could have stayed at home crying her divorce, or his previous life, BUT, bad or good it is at what he does, has been concerned to reach beyond, to diversify their management options and if the world does not care or criticize all the time about how bad it may be acting or designing or raising her daughter, WTF!, at least is trying to get ahead instead of following in the utmost discretion and hides the world with Mr. Cruise thinking, willing, speaking and acting on it. Excellent katie! .. Still like you. Surely some of those who criticize you are not even half of effort that you have to get ahead. At least you take charge of your daughter, something he did not Cruise, and we did it like his brothers, that none has done anything in his life and never had a normal life being raised by his father and Scientology . Good for you Katie

She is trying to rebuild her life, but I think she should take her father’s advice and go to college and get a degree.

Why is Katy Holmes still relevant?. Her Broadway play is a bust, she hasn’t acted in any decent movies recently (if ever), her TV role was very mediocre, goodness gracious, what is she good at?. She is still banking on Tom’s fame. Her daughter is just a nice average kid, nothing to sing songs about. A lot of other people have sweet kids and they are not in the limelight. Well, go figure. She will fade away and so will Tom (he doesn’t have youth on his side, he can’t pull “risky business” and “few good men” that easily any more. He will be getting secondary roles and I am sure he is pissed for not getting an Oscar (he probably never will, we won’t even talk about Katy). Oscar is for her just a distant, distant dream, never to be realized.

CORRECTION: LESS THAN 2 WKS @ 12/27/2012 at 8:07 pm

JJ, you might want to update your post, Dead Accounts has less than 2 wks before they close the door – http://broadwayworld.com/article/Breaking-News-Norbert-Leo-Butz-and-Katie-Holmes-Led-DEAD-ACCOUNTS-to-Close-on-Broadway-on-January-6-20121227#

“Just announced is word that Dead Accounts, led by Norbert Leo Butz and Katie Holmes will play its final performance on Sunday, January 6. When it plays its final performance, Dead Accounts will have played 27 preview performances and 44 regular performances”

I guess Katie will have more time to spend with Suri and contemplate her future.

How long before Holmes & Yang call it a day? I wonder what their numbers look like? Similar to ‘Dead Accounts’? I guess they’ll be the next big announcement.

Anywhoop, any Katie Holmes movies that have status of “post-production” (see imdb) will probably never see a theatre and if they’re lucky go straight to video (at least make some money).

What does that leave?
