Ryan Seacrest Talks New Year's Eve Without Dick Clark on 'GMA'
Ryan Seacrest arrives at a taping for his appearance on Good Morning America on Friday (December 28) in New York City.
The 38-year-old entertainer talked about hosting New Year’s Rockin’ Eve without its leader Dick Clark, who passed away earlier this year.
“Surreal is probably the most appropriate word,” Ryan said about his passing. “You think back forty years ago he started the tradition… I not only watched him, I used to watch him and study how he hosted these shows.”
“He was kind of like my guidance counselor,” Ryan added. “He’d always make you feel like you were his good friend. He was like that in person as well.”
You can catch Ryan‘s New Year’s Eve bash this Monday (December 31) on ABC.
