Megan Fox Joins Twitter 'Against Better Judgment'

Megan Fox has expanded her horizons in the world of social media and has created a Twitter account!

“Against my better judgment, I have finally joined Twitter. Every possible version of my name is already in use so for now my Twitter handle is @MeganFox516. See you there,” the 26-year-old actress wrote on her Facebook account.

In her first tweet, Megan said, “I’m incredibly late to the party but I’m here nonetheless, so what now?”

FYI: The 516 in Megan‘s handle refers to her birthday – May 16!

UPDATE: Megan‘s username has been changed to @MeganFox!

For some reason it makes celebrities a little bit more real to me when they don’t have a twitter. Like they aren’t buying into all the hype and don’t have time to worry about how many followers they have because they have a life.

Celebrities should not have twitter…it makes them far too available…Angelina would never have twitter.

I think it’s ok for celebrities to have twitter, but I do find it kinda mysterious and exciting that they don’t have one. What super annoys me are politicians having a twitter! I don’t think is profesional, at least not in my country.

Looks like she deleted it already

she would endlessly contort herself in imagined pain of the refugees she visits ” i cant eat, little jucida in awrtorn wherever dont have anything to eat, so i wont either, i wont eat and i wont be available for my kids, i need to wallow in this pain, and not eat, it helps the refugees if i do so”

“This is 40″ bombed so now she’s resigned to promoting herself and her private life on twitter. Okay. No one cares about her husband, her baby, no one’s clamoring for photos… your 15 minutes are over.

@Lauren: though that movie didn’t do well…she was minor character, and had hardly anything to do with her…the flop mostly on judd and his family……twitter is ez money for celebs…they can make thousands a dollar a year on tweets alone….i’m surprised she isn’t super desperate yet….if I were her people I would get her a tv deal before she is completely forgotten

    Lauren Says:

@PRESIDENT-ELECT-ROMNEY: She may have been a supporting role, but she promoted it like she was the star. That’s because it’s all she has right now. Look at her imdb page. She doesn’t have a single project coming up. LOL.

    Dave Franco Says:

Agree. Can’t stand when celebs I admire rant about dumb things.

In other news: Ryan Gosling left Twitter…. he hasn’t posed since 2011.

I have a weird feeling her publicist set this up… twitter is a good way to connect with fans; just hope she doesn’t rant.

People shouldn’t hack on this woman first thing they can. She’s set up Twitter, good for her! End of story.

    Also, she’s already got 33,000 followers…

Yay. It’s about time. Better than facebook. Glad she got her name without the 516.

    A Says:

I wonder why she gave in. Boredom? For relevancy because her fame has severely dropped? I like her personality though. She’s been very private so a twitter could get her a lot more fans

    Yoda Says:

She joined facebook ages ago. Most of them feel compelled to adopt the social media presence for several reasons. 1) watching other celebs accumulate followers makes them think it’s an important marketing tool. 2) another avenue to get more attention
