    Title should be changed to “Big Forehead.”

  • LooseLipz

    @Saline Dijon:

    LMAO….good one. I refuse to view the trailer…she does not interest me in the slightest.

  • Saline Dijon

    Naturally, the movie was directed and written by her fiance. If he ever leaves the industry, Kate will never work again.

  • ladybug

    Isn’t this the same trailer he released months ago? Nice scenery, but …

    @LooseLipz, she’s not really in the trailer, which considering she’s supposed to be the female lead, is sort of odd.

  • bittersad

    She just appears for two seconds in that trailer and she doesn’t say anything LOL

  • vv

    looks stupid & pretentious

  • What??

    The best part of every Kate Bosworth post are the comments!

  • Saline Dijon

    @What??:

    And the biggest part of every Kate Bosworth post is her forehead!

  • ND

    @What??: For sure!

  • Airr

    @Saline Dijon:

    bwahahahaha,bwahahahaha omg I just had to post that remarked sums it up and is killing me, very funny and true. bwahahahaha. Big forehead maybe more people will go see. Oh man I can’t breathe. Thank You!

  • ladybug

    Fiancé or hubby? Not trying to even confirm their are they/aren’t they tweets? KB must be so disappointed to not be getting much traction of that MP tweet from yesterday.

  • Kim

    @Saline Dijon:
    Wow you’re childish.

  • InsertCoolNameHere

    A pretty boring trailer … they probably wanted a real artistic expression, but it just comes off as slow.
    Big Sur and Black Rock keeps floating together for me … two times forest and outdoorsy sort of thing.

  • Barbara

    No where in Big Sur is a bridge from San Francisco…LOL

  • Happy_Evil_Dude

    Considering “On The Road” sucked and that film has a decent director, I’m not keeping my hopes up…

  • Tim

    What an odd trailer. I’d rather watch paint dry.

  • peterson

    til I saw the receipt which was of $6245, I didn’t believe …that…my brother was like they say realie making money part-time from there pretty old laptop.. there uncles cousin had bean doing this for only 10 months and resantly paid for the debts on their apartment and purchased a great Chrysler. go to, http://xurl.es/8lsfj

  • Whycantipost

    In the photo above she looks kinda pretty, but that is the only nice thing I can say about this article and clip.. xD

  • Suze

    Isn’t this the same trailer from before?

  • ladybug

    @InsertCoolNameHere: Black Rock was last year’s Sundance, which still hasn’t been released yet, though per IMDB it’s going to be released in May.
    Who knows when this one will be released.

    Perhaps if they did some sort of BigBlackSurRock mashup you’d end up with a more interesting movie than either one of them alone.

    @Happy_Evil_Dude: OTR doesn’t seem to be doing that well. I know it’s very limited release, but there doesn’t seem to be any buzz or interest now that it’s out. Wonder if that’ll have any effect on distributors interest in BS.

    i clicked just to read the comments about ms bosworth….lol

  • Bighead

    She is not actor its bad . She needs to stick to being a wife now if the rumor is true; If she is married its a miracle she can work a relationship but her stain still left on Askars who is hooking up with women worse than it who share old vices she got acused of. Hes linked lots of women cant make it work and there people who say different reasons all him being problem then rumors of certain type business women if you know what I mean and cruise ship fun too that normal single guy do but then gets seen home with a proper woman for holiday who now people saying his gf she said to them but people known her and there say not so clean and good girl if you know what mean and I dont meant s^x. Her acting way that night was not normal but they say he not care he just wants women to have when they think he still gay as if its why he pick bad woman so he wont hurt good woman . He still got bad judgement and bad women choices but he suposedly a good guy just has mommy issues; then we got Bos who is a horror person and she got good men with a rumor husband now who looks as if worships her and thats scary. How does she do it and have it work when she cheats and then still got all she wants and Askars still jumpng from women who shady and trying hard to get where he wants when so not fair. I dont know believe the gay thing but if a woman would make a man gay its bos. I try to use translate proper so not sound not normal.

  • ND

    @Bighead: Charliewhatnow?

  • ladybug

    @Bighead: Bighead, I think that would be incoherent in whatever your native language is. Also, while you’re mentioning KB I think you’re focused on the ex and this isn’t his thread.

    @Suze, I asked that earlier, and I think it is the same trailer.

  • Macy

    That’s the same trailer that came out months ago, and it still sucks just as bad this time around. I hope they had a tiny budget for this, because it isn’t going to make any money whatsoever.

  • Suze

    @ladybug: I noticed that after I typed my post – hahaha. I find it interesting that she’s not really in the trailer.

  • ladybug

    @Suze: Not only barely in the trailer she doesn’t speak. And she’s the lead and the directors fiancée/wife.

    Either he’s trying not to show favoritism or she’s really not that good. Or despite being the ‘lead’ she really doesn’t have a lot of screen time.

  • ladybug

    I see our two thumb trolls have made their rounds. Poor passive aggressive thumb trolls.

  • Suze

    @ladybug: Maybe a combination of all that you mentioned.

  • Phoebe

    Ugh, wish I could’ve seen Stana Katic in the trailer. She’s the only part of this movie I’m interested in.

  • Beheaded

    It looks like she is Decapitation in that pic. Why use that pic to promote if it is not a horror movie.

  • DailyNightly

    Interesting that her buddy JJ never mentioned her 30th birthday the other day(Jan 2). Wonder if she was late with the check?

  • Macy

    @ladybug:
    I’m betting it’s the second one, that she’s not that good. She never really has been, so it shouldn’t be a surprise.

  • Camden

    Uhh…was this trailer supposed to entice me to see the film? Cause seriously I could barely get through the 2minutes of the trailer.

    Is Kate Bosworth even in this? Frankly who cares…she should stick to sitting front row of fashion shows, and leave the acting to …you know…real actors.

  • chelle

    So who has the biggest body part? Bos for her forehead or Kimmy K. for her ass?

    Maybe a tie???

  • ladybug

    @Macy: I am interested to see what the reviews are for the movie as a whole and her acting in particular.
    Her scene at about 1:50 in the trailer it looks like she’s trying to emote, and not doing a very good job at it.

  • chelle
  • ladybug

    @Camden: Camden, that’s the problem with the trailer-it’s got nice scenery, but shouldn’t it also appeal to people who’ve not read the novel (which probably is a huge number of people anyway). And to me it doesn’t do that, at all. It’s just there, all seriously artsy or something, and not very interesting.

    @DailyNightly, even Lainey’s site had post on her turning 30. Of course, this being Lainey’s site it wasn’t a nice post, but still a post:

    Kate at 30. It’s not a pretty picture, is it? Sure she’s a fashion darling, definitely gets first dibs on some collections, but in terms of work, it’s thin (don’t read anything into that double entendre… or do). But a very quick search of actresses in her age range, say 25-35, makes for a daunting list, …It’s a long time before Kate Bosworth’s name even comes up, which is how, over time, what started off as “exclusivity” has turned into plain old not working. Whether it’s been bad luck, bad choices or bad habits, Kate’s promised stardom never quite materialized.

    But no matter. Kate has Twitter declarations of love from a fiancé who is obviously willing to play, the occasional ad campaign and a front row seat at fashion week. The occasional fashion film directed by her fiancé (click here for a refresher), where she can play act great roles, seems to suit her just fine.

    @chelle: AGH! KK needs to start wearing underwear, just saying.

  • chelle

    @ladybug: Yeah that picture got me so I had to share…. Did u notice hobbit kid is looking more like the bos? Well at least that’s what a full healthy head of bleached hair should look like…. her twitter is beyond twisted

  • Macy

    @ladybug:
    Well, we’ll should know a bit in a couple weeks I guess. I’m sure there will be lots of buttkissing going on if it’s anything like the recent “fairy face” article. Ugh!

  • Really?

    According to Shmoop’s summary of the novel, her character (Billie) is introduced in chapter 26. There are 38 chapters total so she’s about a third of the book. Here is the part of the overall summary that mentions her character:

    “After the retreat in the woods is over, Cody brings Jack back to the city to meet his mistress, a slender blonde woman named Billie who lives with her four-year-old son Elliot. She and Jack fall for each other immediately; Cody leaves them alone, they sleep together, and Jack ends up staying with her for a week. He mostly just drinks and sits in the same rickety chair all day, despite frequent visits from his friends and attempts to make him eat instead of drinking all day.
    .
    “Jack’s mind begins to deteriorate, probably as the result of a week-long drinking binge. Billie has fallen completely in love with him and wants him to marry her, though Jack maintains that he’s not capable of such commitment. He decides to bring Billie, Dave, and Romana out to the Big Sur cabin for a few weeks. It’s only downhill from there; Jack’s delirium tremens get increasingly worse at Big Sur, culminating in a devastating night of visions, paranoia, shakes, spiritual hallucinations, and sickness.
    .
    “The delirium nightmare continues until after dawn, at which point Jack falls asleep and wakes up feeling perfectly fine again. In this relieved, rested, enlightened state, Jack concludes that everything will be OK on the long run. He looks forward to returning home to New York, to his mother and his buried cat. ‘There’s no need to say another word,’ he finishes.”

  • Keiko

    @LooseLipz:

    I watched it. You missed NOTHING, I assure you. Two split-second screen shots of Kate’s blank look. Seriously. BLANK. No expression. She’s one of the worst actresses in the business and the only reason she’s still working is because her face is still pretty enough to put up in a 2-bit movie and because audiences still worship her California blonde type. Her own fiancee apparently thinks she’s so awful in his own movie that he wouldn’t put her in his Sundance trailer for more than 2 split seconds.

  • Keiko

    Bosworth/Polish will be showing their film at Sundance the same time Skars will be there with his film The East. Awkward? I hope to God he does not even acknowledge her presence IF they see each other. Even to be nice for a minute to say hello only validates the ego of a raging narcissist like Bosworth.

  • Macy

    @Keiko:
    Their premieres are supposed to be 3 days apart, so hopefully they’ll miss each other.

  • Sheigh

    Somebody knows one of these actors ?

  • ladybug

    @Keiko: To repeat what Macy wrote, their films are three days apart. And since he’s got an actual job I don’t think he’ll be able to hang out that long at Sundance, and their shared publicist is probably making very sure that KB and MP don’t show up until after he’s left. I suspect any extended hangout time they’ll do will be after the first showing, not three days before.

    I’m not sure you’re going to get much butt kissing from the movie press though, MP might get some, but the movie press can be much nastier than the fashion press. A fact that she’s well aware of.

    @Really?: So she’s the lead but not really in it that much? That’s probably a good thing for the movie.

  • Macy

    @ladybug:
    Probably why she sticks to fashion, rather than acting, since those people know her 15 minutes have been long done. Her life now is getting free clothes by attending fashion shows, shilling other products, and having Polish make “movies” to feed her ego.

  • Really?

    @ladybug: The lead is Jack (Jean-Marc Barr), Kate is just the female lead. The book is about Jack having a drug fueled mid-life crisis. It sounds like the first third is him in the cabin alone (which is hard to show in movie form, so it might be severely cut), the middle is him partying with his friends in San Francisco and Los Gatos, and the last third is mostly him and Billie (Kate). So she’s in a lot of the last third, which might or might not be disproportionately represented in the movie just because it’s the easier part of the novel to convert into film. I don’t really know.
    .
    To be honest, the book itself sounds horrible. If all of my favorite actors, writers, etc were making a movie out of it and I loved every single person making the movie, I still wouldn’t see it. I messaged some of the summary points from one of the later chapters because it was so bad I was shocked that this was considered classic literature. Her response was: “Ugh that book sounds like the worst thing ever. I would rather hate read all of 50 Shades of Cr@p again over that.”

  • Really?

    @Really?: I messaged some of the summary points to one of my friends*
    Sorry I left that part of the sentence out!

  • ladybug

    @Really?: Apparently the dialogue is pretty much verbatim from. I tried to read On the Road, and just didn’t like it. I don’t like that that type of writing. Listening to it as dialogue doesn’t seem to make it any better.

    @Macy, despite the ‘acting takes precedence’ line from the Harper’s Bazaar interview, it can only take precedence if she gets offers. And she’s had one role in the last 18 months.

    @Keiko: “she’s one of the worst actresses in the business and the only reason she’s still working is because her face is still pretty enough to put up in a 2-bit movie and because audiences still worship her California blonde type. ” Well, that type, but not necessarily her portrayal of that type. That was a while ago for her. And there’s always another HW blonde in the wings.
