Disney Bringing 'Aladdin' to Broadway!

Get ready to go flying on a magic carpet ride - Disney’s Aladdin is coming to Broadway!

The musical will fly in to the New Amsterdam Theatre after Mary Poppins closes on March 3 and extensive renovations are done to the theater, according to the New York Times. The theater may not be ready for the show to open until the spring of 2014.

Aladdin features music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, the same team that composed the music for the animated film.

    I Have the Original Broadway Cast are Kellen Stancil as Aladdin, Liana Hunt as Jasmine, Nathan Lee Graham as The Genie, Karl Kenzler as Jafar, Josh Gad as Babkak, Chester Gregory as Kassim, Kyle Dean Massey as Iago, Dan Pacheco as Omar and Paul Slade Smith as The Sultan.

    The ensemble comprises April Berry, Kris Coleman, Gabriel Croom, Hannah Florence, Albert Guerzon, Pia Hamilton, Fred Inkley, Carole Denise Jones, Raymond J.     and who are they gonna use as an actor ? a spanish ? a mexican ? maybe a brazilian ? but certainly not an arab right ? … just sayin it’s kinda stupid ’cause they never use arab actors to portray arab people !
