Tom Holland & Quvenzhane Wallis: NBR's Breakthrough Actors!
Tom Holland and Quvenzhane Wallis hit the black carpet at the 2013 National Board of Review Awards Gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday (January 8) in New York City.
The 16-year-old actor and the 9-year-old actress attended the gala as the recipients of the Breakthrough Performance Actor and Actress awards respectively.
Tom was recognized for his work in the film The Impossible while Quvenzhane won for her groundbreaking work in Beasts of the Southern Wild, which was also chosen as one of the year’s best films.
Quvenzhane was joined at the show by her film’s writer/director Benh Zeitlin.

Why is it Holland’s work and Wallis’s “groundbreaking” work? I found Holland’s performance much more impactful.
