Emma Stone & Seth MacFarlane Announce the Oscar Nominations 2013

Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane take the stage at the 85th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement held at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Thursday (January 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 24-year-old actress joined this year’s Oscar host to announce which films will be in contention for the coveted awards at the ceremony on Sunday, February 24.

Lincoln led this year’s nominations with including Best Picture, Best Director for Steven Spielberg, and acting recognitions for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.

    Kind of looks like the nom’s are more for bringing in the “younger audience” Less about actual talent. Sure maybe 1 or 2 real deserving nominations. But, seriously Anne H? The movie sucked and so did she.

    @ sarah That doesn’t make any sense. Academy members vote for the Oscars. You have to work in the industry for 15 yrs to become a member.

    @sarah: That’s because the media industry is dead, Sarah. Empty movie theaters are met with doctored and overinflated bogus box-office earning figures. Nobody watches TV because they’re on their computers or occasionally gaming. Music is entirely one-to-one nowadays as there are no real labels or stores. It’s a cold dead business now. Gaming and radio are surviving a bit better, but not by much and not for long. All very bad investments. The real days are coming. They are here already started.
