'Zero Dark Thirty' Tops Weekend Box Office After Expanded Release

Zero Dark Thirty has topped this weekend’s box office with a gross of $24.5 million!

The film is in its fourth week of release, but took the No. 1 spot as it opened nationwide for the first time. It was recently nominated for five Oscars, including a Best Actress nod for Jessica Chastain. It’s also up for four Golden Globes this evening.

Coming in second was the new paranormal thriller A Haunted House, which raked in $18.8 million, according to THR.

In third with nearly $17 million was the Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone crime film Gangster Squad.

Rounding out the top five were Django Unchained and Les Miserables, which brought in a total of $11 and $10 million, respectively.

    That piece of garbage Gangster Squad flopped bahaha. Note to Hollywood: Ryan Gosling is NOT a star. Stop trying so hard to make it happen. It’s getting embarassing now.

    Gangster Squad was the worst movie I’ve seen in a long time. Everyone in that better not show their faces for a while. Deserevedly a critical and financial disaster.
