Daniel Day-Lewis holds his shiny award in the press room for the 2013 Golden Globes held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 13) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 55-year-old actor, who was joined by his wife Rebecca Miller, won the award for Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Drama for his work as Abraham Lincoln in Lincoln. Congratulations, Daniel!!!!

Also hitting up the red carpet was DDL‘s co-star Sally Field, who met up with Lincoln director Steven Spielberg on the red carpet! Sally wore a gown by Alberta Ferretti to the star-studded event.

He is overrated. What’s so special about him? Just mimicry and make-up as Lincoln. Phoenix was better.

Daniel is hot, too bad he is super method and crazy.

I was really happy to see Daniel Day-Lewis win an award last night for Best Performance in a Motion Picture. My DISH coworker and I both loved the movie Lincoln and agreed that Day-Lewis was very deserving of this win. Last night my whole household was able to record up to six shows all at once, during primetime on our DISH Hopper. This saved everyone from getting into an argument.

Overrated? seriously? When you get to watch “My Left Foot”, “The Will be Blood” or “The Age of Innocence” you can comeback and say that he is “overrated”. He’s one of the few actors in Hollywood who deserve the respect they have. The man is a legend. And who cares if he is a method actor, as long as he gives those performances.
