Drew Barrymore Covers 'Good Housekeeping' Magazine February 2013

Drew Barrymore graces the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine’s February 2013 issue, out on newsstands now!

Here’s what the 37-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her husband Will Kopelman: “Last night, I was looking at my husband like, What if he weren’t my husband and we hadn’t just had a baby and we were just here with a group of people? I was just having such a crush on him.”

On getting back into shape after having a baby: “I’m still working on it, but I’m not worrying about it. We live in a society where everyone’s like, ‘Look at how amazing she looks two weeks out [from giving birth].’ I don’t want to be on that hamster wheel; that’s hell. I’m never going to have the kind of body that makes me excited about bikini season. I’ve never had a ‘beach body.’ But I want to feel like I’m showing up and doing my best. My goal is to be nice to myself, gentle toward myself, during this process. It’s such a sacred time.”

On being a mom: “My favorite thing about being a mom is just what a better person it makes you on a daily basis. Every morning when I wake her up, the endgame is, Can I get her to smile? And that puts me in a good mood. It’s definitely a different way to live — and a much better one.”

After everything she’s been through, and all the self-destructive behavior, it’s sounding like she’s more mature and grounded, and god forbid actually happy. I hope it lasts.

I always thought Drew was going to be the cool mom who’d never pander to the minivan majority, but I guess I was wrong. At least she looks happy, so that’s a good thing.

Thumbs up/down is back! Yay! Also, I am now a bigger fan of Drew’s. The fact that she is taking the slow road to her baby body says a lot, and that she’d prefer to be a mom over losing time it the child.

I love Drew she has grown into a lovely woman, it’s so good to see her so happy, she always remains so grounded and remains true to who she is and it’s one of the greatest things I love about her!! She is truly a breath of fresh air compared to others in Hollywood.

Terrific paintings! This is the kind of info that should be shared across the net. Shame on the seek engines for now not positioning this publish upper! Come on over and consult with my website . Thank you =)
