Mark Wahlberg: I've Worked with Actors Who Phone It In!
Mark Wahlberg leaves the Today show studios after making an appearance on Tuesday (January 15) in New York City.
The 41-year-old actor chatted about his upcoming flick Broken City, and working with some actors who phone it in.
“Not only do they phone it in, but they learn their lines as they go along,” Mark said. “I wouldn’t want to drop the names – it would be a big problem – but I tell you, I’ve worked with people where they literally try to block the scene around where they have places to hide…”
“You know, Russell [Crowe] and I had a lot of dialog. … The first thing we did was a five-page scene,” Mark said about his Broken City co-star, who he said did not phone it in. “The director said, ‘You want to rehearse? Want to talk about it?’ We both said, ‘No, let’s go.’”
Broken City hits theaters this Friday, January 18!

@melissa B: who don’t learn their lines or aren’t prepared or dob’t ready to work ?
Mark Wahlberg is a dïck lover de luxe.

Mila Kunis.
Clooney.
Burt Reynolds.
Joaquin Phoenix.
Greg Kinnear.
Elizabeth Banks.
Kevin Conway.
Jack Nicholson.
Alec Baldwin.
Zooey Deschanel.
Will Ferrell.
Take your pick, he has worked with lots more people but these are prime suspects of slacking on the job, either from primary lazy or just dont give a darn anymore kind of lazy.
@melissa B: if you are “phoning it in” that means you aren’t committed or aren’t doing something to your fullest potential… Learned that from my Jillian Michaels DVD’s.. lol
STFU Mark. You can’t act. You play the same guy in every movie you are in. You are basically a short Arnold Schwarzenegger Maybe those fellow actors who think phone it in are just depressed because their acting in a movie with you.
Of all people who talk about phoning things in… irony.

Oh, the irony! Mark Walberg is a terrible actor! He’s not even good enough for those awful Lifetime movies.
Still believe his best performance was in FEAR. After that, not impressed.
This dude used to be an underwear model and he wants to talk about ‘phoning it in’. I’d love to see him do theatre.
