@tULIB:

You are correct it is a wedding ring. It belonged to his father who passed away not to long ago.

Brad looks great but someone needs to tell him that greasy hair is not sexy.

I’m always so tired to hear him saying that he’s Italian-American, that he grew up in an Italian household etc..etc… because he isn’t!!! He is not coherent at all. He is often in France, saying that he would like to live there..so..how is he Italian??The fact that he likes to cook some Italian food doesn’t count..It’s like an American saying that he’s German because he likes to cook Kartoffeln and Wurstel and so on. If he was a real Italian, he would appreciate my country for real and not only for the food, we are not clowns in da kitchen!My country has got a huge and historical culture which is not less important than the english or the french one for ex. Why the hell don’t these Italian-Americans understand this?If you want to be real Italians, then study your culture and your language as well. If not, please shut up and don’t say anything, it’s better! Greetings from Naples.

@Maestro:

Good point. I’m of German/Irish decent, speak German and have studied German and Irish history. Since getting more famous, Brad seems to talk and not really think about what he is saying. Some of what he says belies his intelligence. Since he obviously embraces the French culture, I’m quite surprised that he doesn’ t have and apartment there or a French GF.

@Juicy Lucy:

Juicy Lucy that’s the point!At the end, he doesn’t get a f**** of his Italian ancestries. But I don’t care about it: he should only stop saying that he is Italian and probably because it’s something useful for him in specific moments or periods. This sucks and I think that many people recognise this bad behavior of him. Respect!Respect!Don’t say that you’re Italian only because this can support your career. He lost so many points..

@Maestro: As an Italian myself I completely agree, He only talks about being Italian when it suits him, he had the opportunity to learn another language and he chose French. I doubt he’s in touch with his roots at all.

Well, sometimes I think Brad’s trying to be the next Robert DiNero (who btw, is not even half Italian. RD has dutch and Irish in his ancestry). Al Pacino is 100% Sicilian, therefore is the real deal when it comes to claiming to be Italian. People just assume Robert is Italian because he has played so many Italian characters .

I don’t know how well he speaks it, but I’ve heard him speak a little. His mother is Italian…

@Aubra:
It’s so weird that he didnt’ ask for the Italian passport yet: but not because he loves Italy, on the contrary it would allow him to work in France in European productions. Finally, about his Italian skills, according to what you can hear in this famous scene in the movie Limitless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTvXdoqJTyg
it sucks!If only you understood what the Italians wrote in their comments!Ridiculous..

I do agree with Maestro. In this case Cooper is really fake and incoherent in what he says. I wonder if he knows that Leonardo Da Vinci (well..NOT Di Caprio!), Galileo, Raffaello, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Marconi, Volta, Vespucci, Colombus etc..etc.. were Italian. Italy is not only ravioli, pasta, pizza!Probably the unique word he knows in Italian is that curse word “fottuto ciuccia cazzo” told during some TV shows…well, is that culture???Yes, may be culture for dummies and morons!

@Maestro: you don’t have to take it seriously. All these are marketing bullshit – he declares it when the situation suits him in order to make the listeners happy. He will tell the same when he is Spain or Germany or Japan etc.

@Juicy Lucy: He has an apartment in Paris and comes quite often.

He seems like a really nice guy. I don’t get the hate.
