Lance Armstrong's Confession to Oprah - Watch Now!

Lance Armstrong admits to using banned substances in an interview with Oprah Winfrey on her show Oprah’s Next Chapter.

The 41-year-old athlete admitted “yes” to using banned substances to enhance his cycling performances, using EPO, using blood transfusions and blood-doping to enhance his performance, and using other substances such as testosterone, cortisone, and human growth hormones.

Lance also admitted that during all seven of his Tour de France victories, he used banned substances or blood doped, and he shared that he could not have won the tournaments without them.

“I don’t know that I have a great answer,” Lance said when asked why he started using the substances. “I will start my answer by saying this is too late. It’s too late for probably most people. And that’s my fault. I view this situation as one big lie that I repeated a lot of times. It wasn’t as if I said no and I moved off it.”

I, for one, discerned he was lying long time ago. Also, his notorious cocky demeanor was irksome.

    Truthie Says:

It’s a shame. Ppl really wanted to root for this guy. He survived cancer. Instead, he turned out to be a lying, cheating bully who sued people and ruined their lives when he knew they were honest about him.

    Laura Says:

More than using the drugs, the fact that he lied over and over and over again is so frustrating. Definitely makes me lose all respect for him.

    Kevin Says:

Many young aspiring athletes looked up to him — lying for so lying is very shameful. Apparently, he did many, many drugs. When I watched his earlier interviews, I thought he was lying too.

    Brian Says:

He bashed his fellow teammates who went public. In some cases, he defamed them, ruined their lives. Now, he wants someone to listen too his cries after so much denial? Hmmm…. very sad situation indeed.

He was so adamant about his innocence. He even went as far as saying he was being framed and that his teammates were nefarious characters. I believe that was all to keep his checks coming. He also strikes me as a narcissist.

    Jen Says:

Too little, too late! Do you guys remember the fiery open letter he fired up a few months ago when he was banned for cycling for life?! It was damn convincing and he was pretty adamant – even attack the head of the anti-doping association. He’s pathetic. Someone must be stupid enough to have the tiniest sympathy for this loser!

    From Paris with Love Says:

So the French called it in 2005 and they were right. 8 years ago. The Americans were then eager to wallow in French bashing accusing them of being jealous, as if they hadn’t told on cyclists from other countries including their own for years, like the Festina scandal in 1998.
Anyway, the whole Tour is a joke, professional cyclism is a big lie, everybody knows it. Doping is embedded in cyclism ever since the beginning of the 20th century. There’s nothing you can do about it.

  24. 24
    Felix Says:

    $$$

  25. 25
    anna Says:

everybody he sued needs to sue him right back. He deserves to lose all his money.
