OlderScarlett Johansson: 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' Opening Party!
Scarlett Johansson and her co-star Benjamin Walker hit the red carpet at the opening night party of their play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on Thursday (January 17) in New York City.
The 28-year-old actress was also joined by her co-stars Ciaran Hinds and Debra Monk on the red carpet.
Scarlett received a very positive review from The New York Times, who said she “seems to possess a confidence that can turn raw nerves into raw power.” The paper also called her the “lifeline” of the production.
FYI: Scarlett is wearing head-to-toe Dolce&Gabbana with Irene Neuwirth earrings.

She looks good and I’m glad she’s getting good reviews but why on earth they gave her such awful piece of clothing the one on the movie with Liz Taylor was sooo sexy and this just fails big time.
@AAA: low standards. The woman is overrated when it comes to looks and is a dreadful actress!

Maybe she’s one of those actresses who is better on thethe stage than screen because I find her extremely wooden in every movie I’ve seen her in since Lost in Translation.

she’s completely overrated. Everyone says how amazing she is but she hasn’t done anything good since Lost in Translation and even there she bored me to death. I never see her getting any awards for her acting either. Same goes for her looks, I mean she’s pretty but she’s not gorgeous, just an average pretty girl.
This is the only positive review she’s received so keep quoting from it, Jared.

I think the bbc news title sums up most of the reviews Ive seen: Scarlett Johansson shines in lukewarm revival.
I love Scarlett and in my opinion she is a really good actress! And her deep voice is some kind of sexiness.
@nika: It’s okay, when you are not a fan of her, but don’t forget movies like “girl with a pearl earring, a good woman, a love song for bobby long, match point, scoop or the black dahlia” and others. They weren’t big blockbusters, but sometimes actors or actresses are better in low budget movies than in blockbusters. And awards aren’t always an indicator how bad or good an actress is, I mean…how much awards were given away to average or bad actresses? And how much great actors didn’t receive one single award for their work?
