J.J. Abrams: 'Star Wars' Director?

J.J. Abrams is in talks to direct the next Star Wars movie, according to THR!

Sources have reportedly confirmed that J.J. and execs are nearing a deal to make it official.

J.J. was not the only director to be considered! Supposedly, Ben Affleck was in contention as well.

Back in November, it was announced that Star Wars helmer George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney for $4.05 billion – a deal that allowed for the making of more films.

J.J. also directed films in the popular Star Trek series.

ARE YOU EXCITED to see the new Star Wars movie directed by J.J. Abrams??

Wouldve rather seen Affleck’s take on it.

I would have preferred Christopher Nolan, but I’m happy with J.J.

# 4

Not sure how I feel about it since he is working on Star Trek as well

# 5

He’s an excellent director/writer so hope he gets it! Probably would improve on the creator, Lucas.

Please no!, the last thing I need is another knock off.

# 7

Even though I like Abrams, I wouldn’t like Star Trek and Star Wars to be in the hands of the same director.

I am the biggest Star Wars fan …. Yet though I am, I wish they didn’t ruin the whole saga by making another crappy sequel… 6 is enough and the rest should be left to the imagination …please… UGH. But I guess when money is involved — I can’t believe Lucas sold what made him George freaking Lucas. Even for billions, I wouldn’t have sold my baby like that :/
