Quvenzhane Wallis Accepts Viola Davis' NAACP Award!
Quvenzhane Wallis hits the stage at the 2013 NAACP Image Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Friday (February 1) in Los Angeles.
The 9-year-old Oscar-nominated Beasts of the Southern Wild actress lost the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture to Won’t Back Down‘s Viola Davis, but presenter Samuel L. Jackson decided to call her up on stage to accept the award since Viola wasn’t there!
Unfortunately, the telecast went to commercial before Quvenzhane made it to the podium, so we didn’t get to see the cute moment.
Also pictured: Keke Palmer and Shameless‘ Shanola Hampton walking the red carpet at the show.
FYI: Keke is wearing the Naven Siren gown. Shanola is wearing Effy Jewelry.

Can we talk about how Viola won this award over Quvenzhane? WTF?
She is really cute :D

She looks soo cute. I hope she plays Annie in the future.
I so wish I could hear what she said!
I can’t find it anywhere!
I love that she got a SO when she came to stage .
wonder what would happen if there was an organization of white support.
Or other races. Why only blacks? Just wondering…
@jen: because whites are already dominating film industry. When you watch the Oscars or the Golden Globes look at the crowd. Minorities like blacks are just being recognized with these organizations since this is the case
