would love to see her win the Oscar

Man she deserves it. Absolutely astonishing, great. She must win.

# 4

I wish she would win, she is amazing in The Impossible. Tom Holland and Ewan McGregor should have been nominated too.

# 5

They should also nominated this young boy, Tom Holland. I hope Naomi or Jessica win.

No way does she deserve the Oscar and this is coming from someone that loves her. Sorry, but if you want to award Watts, you award the rest of the cast. Don’t know why she’s the only one getting recognition. Probably because campaigned and the Academy hates young actors.

Should’ve nominated Marion Cotillard instead.

@Yohji: Agree with everything you said except for the last sentence.
I don’t think Cotillard is that good, I mean she can do good (La vie en rose), she can do bad but she’s average most of the time. Same way of moving, same look in the eyes, same intonation in the voice… I just see Marion Cotillard instead of this or that character in each movie.
Rachel Weisz should have get an nomination though.

You have got to be joking. Right? Have you seen her films? She’s been snubbed over the past years. MORE than once, my friend.

Watts >>> Weisz

I am not a fan but I’ve got to admit that she is one of the best actresses working these days, especially of her generation. I like her very much though and hope she gets what she deserves – an Oscar.

Why jennifer lawrence was nominated/could potentially win.. I dont understand. Naomi watts/jessica chastain should win. Im edging more towards naomi though cause shes been in the industry for yrs and deserves some recognisition for once!

naomi has something on her teeth, second picture

She has been snubbed for many oscar-worthy work but some of them are remake films, academy does not like it.
She is great in 2001-2007. But she is too low-key to do publicity maybe and most of the young generation did nt know her.

It’s ridiculous to see some comments on her campaigning for nod.
At least Naomi was acclaimed not only in US region, her work lets people all around the world applause for her.
