That’s great! People need to realise this isn’t the Jennifer vs Jessica show, and that there are other deserving nominees (although both JJ were great in their respective films). This just makes the question as to who will win the Oscar more exciting. There’s no obvious answer now…

Well done to the BAFTAs for not following the crowd!! As much as I love Jennifer Lawrence, I don’t think her SLP role is deserving of an Oscar. I hope Emmanuelle wins the Oscar too, incredible performance.

    Emily Says:

This is so well deserved. She was absolutely amazing in Amour. Shame on the Silver Linings Director and Jennifer Lawrence for the rude and disrespectful looks on their faces when Emmanuelle was announced as the winner. Zero class displayed by those two.

Harvey must be p*ssed off! Now Jennifer Lawrence will appear on a million more talk shows this week making dumb comments to appeal to the old men who vote for the Oscars.

Please let her win the Oscar! The only actress nominated who deserves it!

I’m hoping Chastain wins too, but seriously, your opinion is a waste of time. How can you disregard the quality of work of an actor because of where they come from? Stop being so narrow minded.

    Lily Says:

This year’s leading lady are the cherishes on the top of cake. It’s gonna be though to pick one. They have all delivered quality work and are quality actresses in general.
Some years i’m like “meh, she did good in this movie but she sucked in many other movies” – I won’t name anyone.
I wish Chastain would win (but only because she’s my pet). And respect for Riva, she didn’t rob anyone by winning, talent is talent.

    oy Says:

Finally a winner for having talent, not a skilled press agent.
