    Nate jacked Louis Tomlinson’s style.

  • Linda

@Joe: You can’t jack something you did first. Remember Nate’s been around for a while. Louis T’s been around for a little over a year or two.

  • Emma

With the risk of sounding like a cynical b**ch the bands Fun & The Lumineers will probably be unheard of this time next year. The songs are derivative & mediocre at best & neither group can perform particularly well live.

  • http://Joe Joe

I was just messin’ :p But they did look eerily similar tonight.

  • Hilary

@Emma you are mistaken. Nate Ruess (lead singer of FUN) has been around for years! Previously lead singer of the Format…he has and will be around for many years to come. He has a distinct voice and is a hell of a talent. Equally the Lumineers are PHENOMENAL live…if you haven’t seen their SNL performance then you are missing out, they are even better live than on their record. :)

  • Juliana

Sooo proud of Nate, have been listening to The Format since 2006, and back then obsessed with their songs is not enough to describe it! I let it go after they were on hiatus, and one day I’m at this club and We’re Young starts playing, I turn to my friend and ask the band, she says Fun., and I’m like, yeah, that’s not it, I know this voice, he’s not from Fun. I get home, googled the name of the song, turns out it’s Nate, and he has a new band, guess who got obsessed again?! :D

@Joe: You do realize Nate was in a band called The Format, and the band started in 2003, right? BTW who the hell is this Louis person?!

  • Jon

@Emma: You’ve clearly never written a song or lack any knowledge of what good song structure is. Both bands would be this successful if they didn’t write good songs.

Nates been writing phenomenal music since I was in high school. I don’t think that will change next year.

I got goosebumps. so incredibly proud!

Shitty group, shitty song and the lead vocalist looks like hes an old alcoholic

  • Emily

You can´t tell me their lead singer isn´t gay

  • Sophie

@Emily : He is not gay. His girlfriend is Rachel Antonoff, the sister of bandmate Jack.

  • Tracy

fun. rocked their performance. It was so moving. Nate’s voice is very distinct and their songs are mesmerizing. I only wish I knew about this band earlier.

  • Adrian

@Joe: dafuk he had that style before luis

Hmmm, that comment was almost a year ago. Nate and Jack both have new Grammy nominations (Just Give Me a Reason and Brave), they’re making a new album that will come out this year, their songs still play on the radio… nope, not unheard of :) But go ahead and doubt them, you’ll see how wrong you will be.
