Daniel Radcliffe Covers 'Out' Magazine March 2013

Daniel Radcliffe gives an intense stare on the cover of Out magazine‘s March 2013 issue, on newsstands February 19th!

Here is what the 23-year-old Kill Your Darlings actor had to share with the mag:

On playing Allen Ginsberg: “You never see a gay actor getting asked what it’s like to play straight — to my knowledge, at least, there is no difference in how heterosexual and homosexual people fall in love.”

On moving on from Harry Potter: “I’ve always said that it’s a long process, and in a way it may be a lifelong one. It’s about proving to people that I’m in this for the long haul, and that I wasn’t just looking to get as famous as I could for as long as I could and ride that out. I love almost every aspect of this industry and I want to be in it, and if I could drop dead on a film set at 80, that’s how I’d want to go.”

On not being able to watch himself in the movie franchise: “I certainly wouldn’t watch number three, I wouldn’t watch the first two, I wouldn’t watch four. I might watch five. I definitely wouldn’t watch six.”

Wow! I had no idea he was gay.

    Reba Says:

He’s not gay. A lot of straight people pose on the cover for Out. It’s not a big deal. Anyway, I think Daniel is very insightful and talented. I loved his responses.

@The Voice … you misread… He is playing a gay character so as a straight man he made that comment

@TheVoiceOfReason: He is not gay. And so what if he is? Hes still handsome, rich and talented unlike you. Lovely man.

He looks like Elijah Wood in some of these pics. Both have beautiful blue eyes, great faces and talented.

    Ish goes HARD Says:

I don’t get it why he wouldn’t watch so many….. I mean … Seriously, Harry Potter is the very best franchise along with Lord of the Rings! (at least for me :p) … My faves were the 3rd and 4th. But I love love LOVE them all… There’s something so magic about those films… Anyway, I think he’s great actor and I’m looking forward to seeing more of him in the next future

    Journalistic Says:

@Maylea: Is it necessary to personally attack the first commenter? You know nothing about that person; how could you possibly know what he/she does for a living or whether or not they have talent? The commenter simply misread and your attack says a lot more about you than him/her.

    Sam Says:

@Ish goes HARD: I guess he just doesn’t want to watch his awkward phase on television. We think he looks fine but it must be weird for him

    just sayin' Says:

@Ish goes HARD: I’m a giant HP fan so I totally agree with you on loving the franchise but you have to remember that he’s not just a fan, he’s the star! Most actors hate watching themselves on screen so I don’t see why he would be any different. Besides, who wants to watch themselves go through puberty? Talk about awkward.

    Kim Says:

@Maylea: ‘and talented unlike you…’ aren’t we being nice today, eh?

    Sara Says:

@Ish goes HARD If yoy read the entire interview (which is great by the way) he explains the reason he wouldn’t watch them is because he doesn’t like watching himself.
