Clive Davis Comes Out As Bisexual on 'Katie'

Sony Music’s chief creative officer Clive Davis has come out as bisexual on Katie Couric‘s talk show Katie, airing today (February 19) on ABC at 3pm EST.

“I opened myself up to the possibility that I could have a relationship with a man as well as the two that I had with a woman.” the 80-year-old music mogul said on the show.

“I’m still attracted to women … You don’t have to be only one thing or another. For me, it’s the person” Clive added.

Clive has a book coming out today, titled “The Soundtrack of My Life”. Pick up your copy!

glad to hear that he finally found the courage to tell people! even though I still believe that this shouldnt be news-worthy. Many people are attracted to the same gender, it really shouldnt be a big deal anymore.

I’m sure he’s really gay but he can’t bring himself to say the word. The entertainment industry is owned and controlled by gays.

Good for him. I think bisexuality is a very cool thing. No limitations, no trying to be forced to choose. Open, honest, looking past just the physical.

    Way to be

@Rodriguez: If it was owned and controlled by gays, why would ANY gay person fear repercussions? Why would they not feel confident in their ability to come out?

I think your argument is flawed, untrue and ignorant.

But why? Why so many people deny the existance of bisexuality? It is more common than you think. Freud went as far as claiming that all people are bisexual but most of them are more attracted to the same or opposite gender and therefore define themselves as homo- or heterosexuals but still have the ability to fall for a person outside their preferred gender. It might be an exaggeration but still, it exists and is not some rare oddity.

Rodriguez #2, you sound like one of those bitter gay guys who hate bisexuals because you got cheated on by one. Quit hating. If he says he’s bi, I’m sure he is.Why on earth would someone come out about being bi and not gay?? It is much harder for a man to say he’s bi than gay in our culture.

–Because he has to sell records to middle america and others

–being gay is an open secret in the entertainment industry

–the joke is on the fans who refuse to accept that the majority of folks in entertainment are possibly gay

Do we have to wait until lots of movie stars and musicians turn 80 years old before they come out? When you’re out as bi it’s no big deal. Look at Gwen Stefanis husband. Looks at Angelina Jolies Brad who lived with a older gay man as a young hollywood wannabe. Lots more. Bi. People. And you all think it’s no big deal to the point of calling them straight just because they’re with women now… but they’re BI.
Jeremy Renner in a interview added ”and men” to the question ‘you’ve got many women chasing you now’… with a grin. He’s bi!

There is no “Bi-”. This man is Gay.
