David O. Russell: Double Winner at Spirit Awards 2013!

David O. Russell shows off his two trophies while posing in the press room at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach on Saturday (February 23) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 54-year-old filmmaker won the awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay for his film Silver Linings Playbook, which also won Best Feature.

David was joined at the event by his son Matthew, who he has credited as his inspiration for the flick. Tune in tomorrow night to see if he wins the Oscar!
