I love Quvenzhane…with that being said. Please don’t remake Annie. I’m black and I love the original Annie. We do not need a black version!!!

# 5

she’s perfect! she can carry a tune too.

There’s a Black movie version of the Wizard of Oz that stars Diana Ross and Micheal jackson called “The Wiz” and it’s a great movie. They remake everything else. Why not “Annie”?

is she going to wear a Red wig?

Congratulations Quvenzhané! She will make a great Annie.

I don’t know… Annie has always been portrayed as a redhead: in the original comic strip, in all of the plays, and all of the movies. The red hair has become like her trademark. I just think it would be wierd to see her without it, like Snow White as a blond or Snoopy from Charlie Brown as a golden retriever.

@the_boyfriend: the cureent girls in the new show on broadway are not red heads and they no longer have to wear the wig

@Nicole:

Yeah I agree to all that. But since society wants to be less ‘all-white’ we have to include the blacks too! I’ve always hated the Annie’s without the red wig but my take on the movie is this; its gonna be modern, so maybe an orphan in modern slums in a city or something and then a Warbucks comes and blah blah blah. (We all know the story). And I guess a modern Annie doesn’t have red hair :(
