Seth MacFarlane flies in the air while parodying Sally Field‘s classic character The Flying Nun during the opening monologue at the 2013 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 24) in Hollywood.

The segment was shown when William Shatner showed Seth clips of what his Oscars performance would be if he didn’t turn it around.

    @Seth MacFarlane -

    How dare you make a joke about domestic violence. That’s insensitive to the many who endure the pain of such experiences. You should apologize.

    That incident with Chris and Rihanna happened four years ago. You are trespassing where you have NO legitimate business.

    Obviously, you didn’t have good quality material to deliver so you resorted to cruel insensitive expressions…

    This guy is even more desperate than he is Not Funny.
    I know they have to scramble for whatever jokes they can get, but isn’t there a little voice somewhere in his mind saying, No, Not an Abraham Lincoln assassination joke? Sure, it’s not funny, but at least it’s far more offensive than anything imaginable. and oh, did I mention, Not Funny?

    @Sandra Renee Hicks: Hey Sandra, Stuff it!

    My mother and I were both victims of domestic violence and Seth doesn’t have to apologize for anything. His “legitimate business” is saying whatever he wants to say, and your legitimate business is being professionally offended with a victims mentality.
