At the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards, Perks of Being a Wallflower director Stephen Chbodsky mentioned Emma in his acceptance speech.

“I waited 10 years to write the screenplay after I finished my novel. Then it took me another six months to write. Then it took a year to get it greenlit with Emma Watson. I lived Wallflower. I was one as a kid,” Stephen shared.

    Wow, she’s so pretty!

    Lola Says:

How is it possible to fulfill degree requirements when you are never physically at school. Normal people have absence quota etc. She’s suppose to graduate on time…magic or special treatment? Does she get credit for her movies or something?

  3. 3
    Kessie Says:

    Stunning! Love her!

  4. 4
    Chloe Says:

@Lola:How much ignorance about her in three phrases…

  5. 5
    Lola Says:

@Chloe: Care to clarify. I’m in University and most of my classes have a 5 absence limit so how is it ignorant to question her graduation time when she went for her freshman year, fall semester of her sophomore year, took spring off, went to oxford for a year (?) , j-term at nyu and is supposed to graduate by the summer when she isn’t on campus now?

    Kessie Says:

@Lola: Is Emma’s life afected you? Why you back to your studies and stop search about celeb life? You’re in Uni but not studi honey LOL

    brenna Says:

I doubt she’s missed 5 classes. It looks like she was in LA for a few days. Heaps of people have seen her on campus at Brown this semester.

When I was at univestiy it wasn’t that uncommon for people take time off and then load credit points at other times, but maybe things have changed.

    Lola Says:

    @Kessie: …Is that…English? I don’t even know what you’re trying to say.

  9. 9
    Lola Says:

@brenna: Thank you! I really wasn’t being facetious…maybe only a little bit. I really like her I was just really curious because someone mentioned it in passing.

    Blazon Says:

So glad Perks won an independent spirit award. Congrats!

    Brenna Says:

No problem. But really there are lots of ways to get credit points without following the traditional structure: you can take additional classes at certain time, study online courses, winter and summer courses, some even offer credit points for work placements etc etc etc

I don’t know what the deal is at Brown and I don’t have access to her academic record, so we’ll probably never know!

    amanda Says:

@Lola….there are these new things called online classes…you can keep up with the work and class while not actually attending class…this article has nothing to do with her studies either

  13. 13
    Clairee Says:

C’mon everybody at Brown knows that she does have special treatment. Get into one of the Brown´s student blogs and you’ll see. Brown University is known for that, having the considerations she has anyone could EASILY graduate.

  14. 14
    Lola Says:

@amanda: If someone comments and says she’s pretty on this article when it’s not about her beauty regime is that not a valid comment either? Also I wasn’t asking for your conjecture, you assume she’s taking online courses but since Brenna says she was sighted on campus you’re at least half wrong. Thanks for the snark though.

    Blair Says:

Emma’s always been very studious and genuinely interested in education… she’s not just attending university for show so I suggest people stop speculating. Most of the young actresses nowadays have only completed high school so worry about them if anyone.

    Christine Says:

A lot of times people can set up Independent Study courses to give them flexibility too.

boring and irrelevant little girl. JJ Jr please.

    Frozoid Says:

Um, whatever happened to her returning to Brown? ALL of her classmates have graduated.

  20. 20
    Frozoid Says:

NOBODY has seen her at Brown, as she hasn’t been there. As I said, she’s so behind that all of her freshman classmates have now graduated.

  21. 21
    Alexa Says:

    @Kessie: Bravo

  22. 22
    Paulie Says:

She was actually attending NYU in J Term and then she will attend Brown afterwards, so all of you get your facts straight

  23. 23
    Paulie Says:

@Clairee: Your are wrong! I went to Brown with her back then and we are actually classmate in two subjects and for your information there is no VIP treatment on her she actually put an effort in every class and she didn’t even take for granted in studying and that’s the reason I respect her.

  24. 24
    georgina Says:

@Frozoid: Shut up, I think you are the kind of person who wants to go to school for friends , my goodness friends and classmates are not important, In college my dear it wasn’t like the High School were you have to graduate with all of your 6th grade classmates until 12th, In college you dont have to stick with your classmates in 1st year until all of you will graduated, I guess you still didnt go to college, is it?

  25. 25
    fauntleroy Says:

@liz: what a gallant comment but irrelevant.
