'Jack the Giant Slayer' Tops Weekend Box Office

Jack the Giant Slayer tops this weekend’s box office with $28 million grossed in its first week of release!

The fantasy adventure film stars Nicholas Hoult and Eleanor Tomlinson, and was up 57 percent from Friday to Saturday, according to THR.

Coming in at number two was Identity Thief with $9.7 million and a total of 107.7 million grossed so far.

Not far behind in third was the college comedy 21 and Over, starring Skylar Astin and Miles Teller, which brought in $9 million in its debut week.

Rounding out the top five were The Last Exorcism: Part II and Snitch bringing in $8 million and $7.7 million, respectively.
