I guess being African American with dark hair is not considered sexy/attractive. Don’t know why someone would choose to use the hair color of the same people who probably had slaves in her ancestry tree. Very tacky. And I don’t think that she’s a good singer, only a good entertainer at best.

  • dee

    Wasn’t her hair always Blonde?

Agreed Liz, she should just stick with her natural colour.

  • dasd

She keeps on babbbling “i represent all african american women bla bla bla..” and then she put on a blonde wig and look white..

  • LaCroix

I wouldn’t go to one of her concerts if I had free tickets.. let alone pay for them.

  • Anna

She should just go away already! Her ego is bigger than the solar system.

  • Annie

Well….she did always wanna be white….

Whats the difference between a black women wanting blonde hair/hi-lights and a black women who relaxes her hair?-I’m just saying as black women, do not go throwing stones in glass houses…If you are against a black women becoming more “white” in your eyes make sure you take a look in the mirror, ALOT of physical altercations can be perceived as trying to be “white”-Key Word “Perceived”. I don’t think there is anything wrong if you like that hair color for yourself…Do we go around saying that white people who tan or dye there hair dark are trying to be black or asian? Some people (maybe not all) just like a certain look on them.

@dasd: Stop Beyonce doesn’t look white, she looks like a light black skin woman. There are alot of african American women who are light skin and their is no mistake what their ethnicity is. Btw if it makes her feel good to emulate white woman than she is free to do it.

  • ladyb

Liz says I guess being African American with dark hair is not considered sexy/attractive………………SAYS WHO? SINCE WHEN DID BEYONCE SPEAK FOR ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS???

  • butch

she looks like a blow up doll with her mouth open in almost every shot. I like black women with blond hair. It looks cool. If it were a blond a afro that would be cooler still.

  • Clarabella

    Copying Taylor Swift Style.

  • Toni

Playing with looks and doing all sorts of styles is cool I think.

I hope they are making a movie/DVD of the tour, I’d love to see it.

@Nancy Drewblood: i get what ur saying and as a black girl who has not ever relaxed my hair or put weave in it i think that many believe that weave and relaxing is different. my cousin said that she relaxes to maintain the fro but others say its because they like that it flows like a white persons hair. weave is simply rejecting your hair for its natural state because its either too much hassle or you hate it. what i dont like is that when a black girl has long hair (such as people in my family) it is automatic that its not theirs. nobody questions when say a white girl has extensions but no our hair is fake. we have caused the issue of “hair” within the race itself therefore it is our job to fix it before people like beyonce will be more than role models to our children and they adopt the thoughts that blonde weaves and extensions are good. on the other hand, i hate that many people (although fascinated by our “hair”) question everything about it because its different. my friends say “how does your hair do that? its so cool and curly!” i mean after awhile it can become offensive. a model even reported that when she was given a photoshoot the hairstylist said that her hair was not good and it was not chic or beautiful. all because it was in an afro.

hair is such a big issue with black people..i hope it changes soon

Oh no,not Beyonce again…when i was starting to forget about her futile existence, here she comes again…and she brought her huge ego with her.Not even for free i’d watch her gigs, she’s annoying, and while she was out of the media nobody missed her…i wish she could go away, but her ego is too big to allow her to disappear.

  • baddey ley

though she’s a “diva,” she shows her humility time and again, not to mention her bringing out a softer side of Jay-Z.

she’s one of the few who has done it right:
    1. career.
    2. husband.
    3. baby.

she’s great at what she does. leave her alone.

  • jess

@baddey ley: 1 – career which she stepped all over her friends to get. 2 – would never have married him if he was some teacher who nobody knew, married for money honey. 3 – she never even had it.

  • me

ANY WOMAN CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO WITH THEIR HAIR!!!!

    EVEN MEN WHO CARES??!!!!!

the point is that she won’t go away!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL

    @liya:
“what i dont like is that when a black girl has long hair (such as people in my family) it is automatic that its not theirs. nobody questions when say a white girl has extensions but no our hair is fake. ”

First of all white girls who wear extensions are not making their hair look completely different from what it naturally looks like. NEWSFLASH: When black girls do it well obviously its going to look fake. White girls dont be putting afro wigs on their heads now are they?

  • Nancy Drewblood

@liya: Good point. I do agree that black women put alot of importance into their hair, but I believe that they put WAY TOO MUCH importance in it…I think hair should be about a personal style preference not a racial one. Being a mixed black women myself, I too have faced accusations of trying to be “white” when I flat iron my hair-from my own black family members…Really!!? Maybe I straightened it because I want to wear it like that today, maybe I want honey or blonde hilights because it brings out my eyes and skin color, maybe I want to cut it because it looks cute to me, not because I want to be a man… and NOT because I am trying to be” white”…In the case of these photos, I think that the hair looks bad because the color does not complement her well, not because she is trying to be “white”. But it is a promo and her stylists are probably just having fun with a different look…

  • Nancy Drewblood

    @Nancy Drewblood: *compliment*

  • B.

Oh, please. Remember that phase of Christina Aguilera when she used to wear dreads or when she used so much spray tanning she was almost black for her Stripped Tour? You didn’t see anyone saying she was trying to be black, she’s was just trying to reinvent herself and look different for publicity, but when someone who actually black do it everybody starts talking. I think she has the right to do whatever she feels like in her tour, and be creative in her show and forms of publicity about it. I just wouldn’t go to her concert ’cause like someone already said, I don’t like her voice. If I wanted to see a perfomance I would definitely go see Britney Spears, who doesn’t sing that much and uses playback but has far more charisma than Beyonce.

  • Ava

This looks just like Amerie’s “Because I love it” album cover…

  • an opinion

    great legs.

  • Jessica

@Anna: Lol. Agree. Her ego is huge!

  • S

This colour does NOT suit her – I don’t get it.

  • viper

woman hates being black that’s all there is to it. Her photoshoot covers keep making her lighter and lighter – when was the last time she sported a buzz cut or an afro? She even play in the white mans game by trying to be a monarch ( queen Elizabeth ) she’s a pathological self hating black woman.

OMG YOU AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN ARE THE ONES WHY RACISM EXIST. OMG YOU PUT SO MUCH STEREOTYPES THAT DOESNT REALLY EXIST ONLY IN YOUR MIND! A WOMEN IS A WOMEN NO MATTER THE COLOR RACE RELIGION , THIS ARE TRIBAL THINGS. A AFRICAN AMERICAN CAN WEAR HER HAIR BLOND , AND THAT DOESNT MAKE HER WANTING TO BECOME WHITE, THE SAME GOES TO THE ASIAN , THEY DONT HAVE TO HAVE THEIR HAIR BLACK BECAUSE THE WERE BORN WITH IT…

  • ok

she has to make her appearance more and more white like to attract european audiences..that’s why she’s making these super light skinned posters and throwing on a blonde wig. if her tour were only here in the states they would have blackened her up

  • maryhadalittlelamb

What is wrong with her? I don’t get her hair, her clothes (or lack of, more like bathing suit with tights), her facial expressions or poses. I don’t get the concert title either.

I don’t know what happened to beyonce lately, it’s all gone to her head and she seems to have a completely distorted view of what she thinks people want to see from her.

  • KissThis

She looks weird. Why can’t she ever look natural?

  • lika

    boring as always

she always brings the same thing

  • what say you

She can be an egomaniac if she wants…wear blonde wigs if she wants..as long as she is making money for white folks she will be on that high horse lol.

  • lana

can’t agree more with you @angie

  • don

Not sure if it’s white women commenting more or black but it does not matter what color a woman wants to do her hair as long a she feels sexy with it. Pink, blue, red, black, green I have seen it al.l I understand we all have our opinions but hair does not define her speaking as a white man i think she looks good and if she wanted to be white she could gets some white d**** instead i would love to give it her.

    White Girl Wanna Be !!

  • Danielle123

@Nancy Drewblood: @NancyDrewblood I absolutely agree. No one mentions when white brunettes dye their hair blonde, red, etc. No one comments when whites wear extensions or weaves. No one even comments when white/spanish people who are born with curly hair, flat iron their hair. No one mentions when white people chemically perm their hair to make it curly. They don’t comment when numerous Hispanics dye their hair blonde (and when I say there are a lot of them that do this, there are ALOT). No one ever says “That Spanish girl is trying to be white.” but the minute a black girl dyes her hair blonde or straightens it, she is seen as “wanting to be something she’s not” None of these people are being “natural.” No one comments when Asian woman strive to appear white. There is actually a product in Asia called “Nose up” which is an alternative to a nose job. It’s a contraption that they place on their nose to make their bridges pronounced like white people. But people will quickly dismiss all of this and claim that only black people are trying to be something that they’re not. I feel like blonde, black, blue, red, curly, straight, whatever, is a hair style. Period. People need to stop acting as though it is anything more than that. If people want to discuss people trying to be something they’re not, let’s focus on the plethora of African-Americans who bleach their skin, and the numerous white people who go tanning or on the Asian community who feel the need to torture themselves in order to have a “white nose.”
