Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio has just been named the new Pope.

The 76-year-old Argentinian chose the name Pope Francis I, and is currently presiding over the Vatican blessing the crowd.

Here’s what some celebs had to say about the new Pope:

“A man known for his humility and simplicity. His embrace of the poor shows strength and kindness.” Maria Shriver wrote. “I’m praying alongside. Love this moment. Let’s begin this long road back to the people. It will be a road he knows well.”

    If you are indeed from Argentina, you should know that 90% people in Argentina support him and are thrilled with him being the new Pope, and many organizations that fight poverty, i.e., villa 31, la alameda, etc., said he is the very best. Do not talk in the name of Argentina, you are nobody to say that in our behalf.
