    Very impressive photos from the film set.
    George Clooney looking very focused on directing. Huge project.

    Matt Damon steals the show! Such presence :)

    Hamburg bound Says:

    well, quite an expensive, big budget film. Heard it’s costing about €1M per day to film it. It must be averaged out as a total, all expenses accounted.
    That’s gotta stress, Clooney. He looks tense. Check out how he’s munching on that apple.

    Stalag Clooney Says:

    Those poor emaciated extras in the soldiers uniforms look like they’ve been on set for hours starving.
    The suffering captured on their faces. Surely they have unions representing them.
    And why is their hair so long? Aren’t soldiers meant to have buzz cuts?

    Goofs already?

    determination Says:

    @Hamburg bound:
    He’s had a chip on his shoulder since The Good German that his Teutonic project wasn’t well received.
    Plus he wants to outdo his directing efforts on Ides of March, as well as Leatherheads.
    Probably explains his austere glare. He means business.

    Notice the media onslaught to get this film promoted from its foundation. Make that, its inception. There’s a deluge of stories & photos being poured out on a daily basis. Such desperation…
    I guess production worried that if it’s too arthouse and won’t succeed.
    So they want to keep it in the public’s conscience constantly as a “must see” film.

    @Olivia observing…: the media are doing the exact same thing for David O Russel’s new film which probably won’t even come out till next year

    Wow! Can’t wait till sexy DuJardin appears on camera.

    @talia: right, so what’s good for the gander….
    Got to keep up with the Joneses.
    Competitive marketing. Keeping it constantly in the consumers’ subconscious.

    Matt Damon can invade me anytime! Especially if he’s wearing that suit

    @Lilli-Marlene:

    George still looks good, but I want to dream about what I could do to Damon in that outfit tonight

    @Olivia observing…:

    Good observation.

    Matt Damon looks very handsome and dapper but the mustache make Clooney look rather elderly.

    There are no buzz cuts in this photo

    Shy one Says:

    is it George Clooney?? He has aged. not sure about him directing ideas was very boring movie.

  21. 21
    Stalag Clooney Says:

    @marilyn: no buzz cuts because they had probably been at war for months on end & their hair grew, plus they couldn’t find a decent barber…lol…nor trust each other with a blade knife…
    Wehrmacht soldiers would have had buzz cuts when conscripted.
    In any case, the extras look starved & miserable. Clooney’s a tyrant. He just wants to capture suffering on their faces for the film.
    While he’s eating an apple, these poor guys are about to faint; frozen & starved!

  22. 22
    Sally Says:

    Publicity hungry Clooney.

  23. 23
    Elena Says:

    Great movie with all awesome actors looking forward to it. George seems perfect directing huge star Matt Damon who looks like a model making that uniform look a perfect 10 on him—SLURPPPPP….

  24. 24
    George Stout Says:

    @Elena:
    It’s a great formula:
    *multiple talented cast. (Like in Ocean’s trilogy). Big draw factor.
    *subject matter ~ “ART” (trend forecast of film genre. Watch how successful “Trance” will be at the box office next week).
    *based on reality. Concept of “realism” popular in last few years, though fading gradually.
    *suspense, arthouse cinema, thriller, historical ~ all potentially popular with wide cross-range appeal.
    *potential for awards.
