Here’s the IMAX featurette for Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion from IMAX:

  • TC Oblivion IMAX Q&A

TORONTO — Imax is to follow up an April 15 screening of Universal Pictures’ Oblivion with a live Q&A with Tom Cruise and director Joseph Kosinski.

The appearance by Cruise and Kosinski will be simulcast between New York City and nine other Imax theaters, including in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Dallas.

The Oblivion Q&A will come ahead of the nationwide release on April 19, with special Imax previews in Imax theaters to start on April 18.

“We’re excited to team up with our partners at Universal and Los Angeles Times for this exciting Hero Complex event — offering fans who are feverishly anticipating this cinematic spectacle an early way to connect with the film by speaking directly with Tom Cruise and Joe Kosinski,” said Greg Foster, chairman and president of Imax Entertainment, in a statement Tuesday.

Imax super-sized Oblivion with a larger aspect ratio than the conventional release of the film.

    Tom is hot

Olga looks absolutely fabulous! Love her gown.

  • myma

Could somebody please launch Cruise into space?? I can’t stand him and won’t see any movie he does. In every movie, he’s Tom Cruise, not the character and he’s frickin nuts to boot. Ugh.

  • RobLeon

How would you know unless you’ve seen all of his movies? Wait, I thought you hated him.

  • Sincerely concerned

@RobLeon: He IS creepy. Katie sure did take it to the last mile (with regards to living with his freeky ways – like Penny on Big Bang says). Unfortunately that does not say a lot for her. Come on people, now with this John Travolta crap. The normal person is not fooled by this – I too, have no intention to watch his movies because of HIM. Unless he does some phenomenal acting, let’s just put it this way; I think he is glib.

  • Abnormal

    @Sincerely concerned:

Us abnormal people will be catching Oblivion in IMAX on April 19th (or earlier).

You normal people can ***GRIND THOSE TEETH***

    Keepin it GLIB

  • Marie

@ MYMA. Who cares what YOU think!! If you hate him So Much, You SURE HAVE A LOT OF ATTENTION ON TOM CRUISE!! Hmmmm.
I can’t wit to see and then buy the DVD to add to my collection of his films.
This will Indoubtably be another movie well over the 100 Million mark. Probably like 700 to 1 billion. No joke.

  • Looselipz

You know he’s in love with her and hoping she’ll be his next contractual wife…

  • annie

You know TC has some good traits, as long as you don’t live with him, because then he wants to change you.
But to work with him, or hang out with him, on an impersonal way I think he’d be great.
But in a close personal way, my god nobody could ever love him enough, he’d want more, and if you stopped idolising him, he would look elsewhere to be totally idolised by somebody, or if the real Tom started to emerge, and the reality set in, he’d find it easier to move on than stand back and fix, and be flexible, his way or nothing!
Hopefully next time he’ll stand back , be honest with himself and look at what he’s doing, or how he’s going about it, because this time he’s lost more, than other times, much more!

  • Keeping Fans Happy

Tom Cruise knows how to keep his fans happy.

The actor signed autographs and posed for photographs at the premiere of his latest film, ‘Oblivion’.

Dressed smartly in a suit, the 50-year-old was all smiles outside the Gartenbau Cinema in Austria.

Co-star Olga Kurylenko also attended the glitzy event, dazzling in a red lace dress.

  • IMAX Behind the Screen

oseph Kosinski’s Oblivion is no ordinary small sci-fi film. In fact it is so big that it could fit an IMAX screen. While Oblivion has been making its marketing campaign run over at SXSW and WonderCon, the film will be making a big debut over at the LA Times’ Hero Complex Film Festival. The film will be presented in its IMAX format and Kosinski and film star Tom Cruise will be there to attend a very exclusive Q&A after the event.

The interactive Q&A will be moderated by Times film writer Rebecca Keegan at New York City’s AMC Loews 34th Street 14 on Monday, April 15, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The post-screening Q&A will be simulcast via satellite to nine additional IMAX theatres in Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, and Virginia Beach. The discussion will also stream live at the Hero Complex as well as IMAX’s Facebook page.

Attendees will be able to submit questions in real time via Twitter using #oblivion.

If anyone plans on attending this one-of-a-kind event, you will be able to obtain your tickets beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET on April 3 at Attendance is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. That’s right, it’s free, and you can ask Joseph Kosinski and Tom Cruise a question about the film – or others if Mission Impossible 5 or Tron 3 are on your mind.

Perchè non parlate anche della manifestazione anti-scientology che si è tenuta a Dublino in presenza del caro Tom Cruise.
    @Keeping Fans Happy:

  • shia

and it means that you ever live with him close? Are you kho or nk? if not, what you said is shit.

  • Sincerely concerned

@Abnormal: Dumba**. I call him glib because he had the audacity to call Matt Lauer glib (in the famous interview). What the frank does that have to do with me grinding my teeth??? He is no more than the same punk he was in highschool.

  • Sincerely concerned

I wonder if he still French kisses his sisters…

  • Sincerely concerned

    @Marie: ALL yours.

  • Sincerely concerned

@Keeping Fans Happy: You tube Tom Cruise “scolding” a fan for squirting water. Any normal actor, yes, would have been pissed but than would have let it go, hence not need all that detox crap. Obviously Scientology is not helping him.

  • Sincerely concerned

@Sincerely concerned: What I found to be more interesting was how many people viewed it.

  • Suri the meal ticket

    Still moderating?
OK. I was only saying that Olga is so beautiful!
Standing next to such an effortlessly chic lady must be a great relief from the 6 yrs next to the awkward homely KHo.

  • annie

could tell you heaps more if you want……like over time he will pull away from scie, and there were certain sections of people who were saying from the very beginning that Katie would not stay with it.(scie)
Even looking from the outside in, you can tell a lot, so imagine what is going on inside.
When he finally bails out of scie, will his mother , sisters , lawyer, and everyone else who joined up because” he” believed in it, leave too..of course.
In 2005 his in your face arrogance, about everything came through, he’s kept it in check since then, since he was fired from Paramount.
You don’t have to live with him, to see a lot.
However he is a very talented and creative actor, and people know his movies are always worth watching.
Tom has learned a few lessons from this, next time maybe he’ll play it differently.
too bad that another man will be bringing up his daughter, not him, generous visitation is not the same,
Suri goes to a normal school, she looks like a regular little girl, with regular clothes, and pretty little haistyles, she has made lots of friends, in NY,
    and so has her mother.
All the money in the world, the prestige of being Mrs Cruise, the on call planes, and cars, and the endless perks ,in the end meant nothing.
See you don’t have to be on the” inside”.

  • Abnormal

    @Sincerely concerned:
Bring it down a notch! or 2.
    Dumb@$$? Really?
I CLEARLY understood how you were using ‘glib’ and chose to use it another way.
Either way, I didn’t resort to calling you a Dumb@$$.
Maybe the Dumbness of the @$$ is someone getting all twisted on a celebrity (gossip/media) blog.
It’s OBVIOUS you ran out of TEETH TO GRIND so just STEW.

  • Box Office Mojo

The only new nationwide release on April 19 is sci-fi action movie Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman. Releasing a big-budget potential blockbuster in April is an odd choice, though distributor Universal Pictures had great success doing this with Fast and Furious and Fast Five in 2009 and 2011. Without an established brand—aside from Cruise’s, which isn’t a lock anymore—Oblivion won’t earn nearly as much as those movies, but it will at least get to play for two weeks without any major competition before Iron Man 3 swoops in at the beginning of May. A total close to $100 million is definitely possible, and it should be the highest-grossing movie to come out of April.

  • pecatortes

Looks like less paid-for shills at the Dublin premiere, Tom’s Scientology handlers and publicists probably had to pay more per person.

  • A.Austin

i can’t believe anyone making negative comments about such a mega star as Tom. Here’s a man so multi-talented knows what he wants and where he’s going. He’s accomplished so much with his career and relationships. Divorce can happen to anyone Katie knew what she was getting into. For me it wouldn’t be so bad to have a man in control of things, kinda like it. No one can really control you unless you allow it so freedom comes from within.
He’s quite the intrigue and I’d like to know who he really is. With regret I missed him when he came to my town! War of the Worlds. Incredible.
Can’t wait to see his next movie he cares about his fans. Keep being you Tom, Still loving it.

  • Sincerely concerned

@Abnormal: Hence the name, Abnormal. Pot calling the kettle black? FYI, get lots of compliments about my smile and teeth. Tom Cruise is nothing more than a highschool thug. 50 years ago, actors were like circus people with a good side show. If it’s a phenomenal movie, I’ll go see it. Just don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
