Keira Knightley Covers 'Marie Claire UK' May 2013

Keira Knightley gets up close and personal on the cover of Marie Claire UK‘s May 2013 issue.

Here’s what the 28-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On how she defines success: “I’m not sure if I can define success. I think if I get to the end of my life having hurt as few people as possible, making sure the people who mean the most to me know they have been loved, I will be happy. Success in work, whatever work, will come and go.”

On coping with fame in Hollywood:
“The machine that allows you to make movies, the trade-off [requires] you to sell it. Selling it means making yourself a public figure. You can’t cultivate the mystery. My problem is I like mystery.”

On her upcoming wedding to James Righton: “I could have six weddings. God, that would be expensive. We’ve not big-wedding types. I don’t need to have all that. I’m just trying to enjoy the engagement bit. My parents are together after 40 years. The fights are there, but they love each other. It’s not like the first three months, the frost two years, whatever it is, but I think it gets more interesting, or I hope so.”

I love how down to earth she is. She makes a great point about success, it does come and go, and not just in Hollywood. You could be CEO one day, market crashes and unemployed/homeless in a year.

“. I think if I get to the end of my life having hurt as few people as possible, making sure the people who mean the most to me know they have been loved, I will be happy. Success in work, whatever work, will come and go.””

Absolutely true.

Goddess in human form

Keira is one of the smartest, most level headed actresses around. I love how refuses to resort to antics just to get attention or stay relevant.

She’s amazing! And how she describes marriage… it’s beautiful. Just like it should be and just like the most celebrities don’t live. Go, girl! Wia[sh her all the best!

I love her hair

She needs to do something different like star wars. Anna Karenina was awesome though

she has a different attraction i cant say that but she’s wonderful…

That picture is way too photoshopped, it doesn’t even look like her.

She always has the same expression with her mouth:(

She’s so well grounded. Love all her interviews. There’s nothing fake or phony about her. She seems to be content in her own skin.

STUNNING cover.

“The machine that allows you to make movies, the trade-off [requires] you to sell it. Selling it means making yourself a public figure.” FINALLY someone who understands it without making it a big deal like “oh the pressure” “I hate fame” “I don’t want to be a celebrity”. Learn from Keira!

Very good and intelligent quotes. I used to find her pretty annoying when she first became famous but you can see she’s matured and learned a lot. I admire her level-headed attitude now.

She was always intelligent beyond her years and handled herself like a pro from her earliest work. One thing about keira is that she seems so perfect both physically and articulately that people are using a microscope to find something wrong. I take her as she is. I revere this woman because she’s such a class act

I want her lips!

@Reba: We all have a default expression that we’re comfortable with. Some peoples normal expression might be a grin but that looks weird after a while

Idol Keira! <3 <3 <3 日本が大好き!~!
