Penn Badgley Sings in 'Greetings From Tim Buckley' Trailer!

Penn Badgley stars in the just released trailer and poster for his new film Greetings From Tim Buckley.

Here is the film’s synopsis: In 1991, a young Jeff Buckley (Badgley) rehearses for his public singing debut at a Brooklyn tribute show for his father, the late folk singer Tim Buckley. Struggling with the legacy of a man he barely knew, Jeff finds solace in a relationship with an enigmatic young woman (Imogen Poots) working at the show. As they explore New York City, their adventures recall glimpses of Tim’s (Ben Rosenfield) 1960s heyday.

Greetings From Tim Buckley will be available to watch on demand on April 16 and will be in select movie theaters this month!

I am a huge Jeff Buckley fan and I was totally prepared to hate this, but there are some moments in there that sound like the real thing. A surprise for sure, although I still reserve the right to hate the movie.

I hope this does good things for his career. I’ve always thought he was above Gossip Girl, but really…who isn’t above that?

Penn should make an album, seriously. What a lovely voice he has.

Album! right now!

He annoys me, not the greatest actor & very pretencious. Tries too hard to come across as intelligent yet comes across douchey.
