MTV Cancels 'Buckwild' One Week After Shain Gandee's Death

MTV has cancelled Buckwild after the sudden death of cast member Shain Gandee last Monday (April 1), MTV has confirmed.

“We felt it was not appropriate to continue without him. Instead, we are working on a meaningful way to pay tribute to his memory on our air and privately,” the statement read.

Buckwild was in the middle of filming its second season, though those episodes are not expected to air.

A special tribute to Shain is set to air this Sunday at 8pm EST to commemorate his life.
