Zac Efron: Striped Robe on 'Townies' Set!

Zac Efron shows his stripes while wearing a robe on the set of his new film Townies on Tuesday (April 23) in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old actor was joined on set by his co-star Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who rocked a beanie.

“[At Any Price] was really sort of a filmmaker choice for me. I saw Ramin [Bahrani]‘s movies and I was blown away by what he was able to capture and what all the movies were about, his versatility,” Zac recently shared with JJ about working with director Ramin Bahrani.

He added, “And when he came to me and showed enthusiasm and asked all the right questions, I could tell he was a really sensitive, fantastic guy who would be great for me to work with. So we kind of hit it off and when you see a green light like that, you just go for it.”

Girl, you need to get a new hobby!
Spending hours on this site feeding your obsession with Fatfron and arguing without logical arguments means you have isues.

@Mattiu:

And you need to stop calling people names, stop making hateful comments towards people you don’t even know. And you are talking about logic on JJ ? This is a website where people talk utter crap/trash most of the time. There is hardly any logic here!

He is hot. Really hot!

Excerpts:
It’s a serious role for Efron, and his fellow actors thought he did an amazing job with it.
“Zac is a great young actor,” said Quaid. “He’s got all the tools in the toolbox and he’s so dedicated.”
Heather Graham, who plays a love interest to both Quaid and Efron in the movie, was also impressed by Efron’s skills, but even more so by his dedication to his fans.
“He’s such a sweet guy and he’s so beloved by his fans, especially his young teenage girl fans,” she told SheKnows. “There was this one day when we had all these extras and they were like screaming at him. He stayed and took pictures with a hundred people. I’ve never worked with an actor who’s ever done anything like that.”

He’s always great with fans from what I’ve read. Go Zac!

Some more reviews (It’s been getting good reviews so far. So all the people saying he works in crappy movies should shut up) :

One of the best things about Ramin Bahrani’s bracing farmland thriller “At Any Price” is its refusal to condescend to the Iowa farm family at its center by depicting them as nobler, more innocent and less sophisticated than other people.

The Best Film About Impoverished Farmers Since Renoir’s The Southerner
Under the influence of writer-director Ramin Bahrani, Mr. Efron moves another step in the direction of mature psychological complexity and several miles further away from his frivolous fan base of teenyboppers who hark back to his High School Musical days.

They are not promoting it much though. I know it’s an indie but I still wish that they were promoting it more.

The film is a classic father-son story, the portrait of a father who must wake up to what’s important and a son who struggles to face an unwanted future, set against a backdrop of profound economic uncertainty. It’s powerfully acted and rendered with an eye for dramatic silences.

New York Times:

At the two-thirds point, the movie makes a giant leap of faith with a far-fetched, manipulative plot twist that binds Henry and Dean together, whether they like it or not. This turn of events makes allegorical sense yet defies credibility. But if “At Any Price” overstates its points, they are still worth making. And the hot-wired performances by Mr. Quaid and Mr. Efron drive them home in a movie that sticks to your ribs and stays in your head.
