Lily Collins: 'Pride Prejudice & Zombies' as Elizabeth Bennet?

Lily Collins is in negotiations to play the lead role of Elizabeth Bennet in the upcoming film Pride Prejudice and Zombies, according to Variety.

The 24-year-old actress would work alongside director Burr Steers (17 Again, Charlie St. Cloud) in the adaptation of Seth Grahame Smith‘s mash-up of the literary classic by Jane Austen.

Natalie Portman was originally set to star with David O. Russell as the director, but the project got shelved after the script took too long to develop.
