  • Hmm

    Who is more irrelevant and desperate, him or her?

  • Judgemental American Tool

    She looks like a fabergé egg and he is even creepier than usual!

  • Lola

    @Hmm:

    Love your comment…I’m sick and tired of seeing them everywhere…

  • chelle

    Cover your legs!!!!! Jeez they’re creepy and for sake of sanity WASH YOUR HAIR!!!

  • Punk’d

    Ummm…NO..

  • ibney

    She should have worn pants. Those legs should never be inflected on the public.

  • ladybug

    This wouldn’t be so bad on someone with actual legs instead of toothpicks.

  • porquenon

    A few of these girls have the same strange eye makeup (perhaps the 21st century take on punk eyeliner) it’s too thick and is giving them all wonky eyes. Like the dress though his suit looks far too polished to be punk. (pun intended)

  • nina

    Her boyfriend is hideous.

  • AbFab

    Not very punk. And why couldn’t she do something better with her hair?

  • New Yorker

    I feel she looks absolutely wonderful.

  • ladybug

    @AbFab: Ah, but we don’t get it! Her not doing anything to her hair is punk! /sarcarsm

    @porquenon: his suit looks like a dinner jacket made from a hefty bag (which makes me think of the outfit one of the Olsen twins has worn to this event in the last couple of years).

  • Lord

    Her dress is from the 80s and his suit is just 100% ugly!!!!

    THis whole event everyone had terrible outfits. No one really looks amazing. Well one that JJ has posted.

  • Rupert

    The dress is cute, but how is it punk? To be fair, almost all of them got it wrong. This whole thing is one big CF of inanity and vacuousness. And yes, no one needs to see her granny stems. Just, no.

  • ND

    I actually love it but for this event it’s pretty meh. Especially when SJP wore a mohawk headdress.

  • Suze

    What in the world is he wearing?!?! I don’t mean to sound harsh, but he looks like a tool. I don’t hate what she’s wearing, but I don’t know if it’s the makeup of whatever, but her head looks wide & big. It’s weird. I agree, she should never show those legs.

  • Merde

    She doesn’t look horrible. Just not fabulous. He looks like a freak

  • ND

    P.S. Do people just kind of give up with her hair now?

  • mar

    I LIKE THIS

  • Belle

    WHAT’S WITH THE PUFFED OUT CHEEKS AND BLOWN-UP LIPS, BOS’? SK-II MUST BE SQUIRMING THAT THEY ‘CHOSE’ YOU. HAHAHAHAHAHA! HOPE YOU DIDN’T BUMP INTO THE EXQUISITELY BEAUTIFUL MIRANDA – OH DEAR, YOU MUCKING UP YOUR FACE & BODY IS NO MATCH FOR THE REAL DEAL BEAUTY! THAT MUST REALLY HURT! AND THE REAL TALENTS SEEM TO BE MISSING: CATE BLANCHETT, SCARLETT JOHANSSEN, EVEN TO GO AS LOW AS NATALIE PORTMAN…SICK OF THIS CARRY-ON SELF-AGGRANDISING MET CRAP! BUT WHERE’S THE INEFFABLE GOOP?

  • Belle

    Are they at a different event? The background is different. Maybe there are two red carpets? One for the wanna be’s??

  • Z

    This is her interpretation of glamour punk…she looks great anyway. He is creepy and weird as usual.

  • Jeannie

    I like the dress, but not for this event. Among all of the other people there, this look is forgettable. I have no words for MP. I want to know who told him this was a good look.

  • jefferson

    good choice, she looks exquisite!

  • Macy

    I agree, most of the people who were at this even got it wrong and she’s one of them. This is the one even where you don’t wearing some pretty gown, you wear a COSTUME that goes with the theme, that’s why it’s called a costume gala. Sarah Jessica Parker is one of the few that got it right. Miley Cyrus, though annoying, is another one that got it right with her spiked hair and slinky dress. More of the model types got it, but the acting world always misses the mark because they play it too safe. This isn’t the Oscars or Golden Globes. You can dress bizarre here and that’s the point.

  • laila

    Fabulous!

  • Rose

    Best looks of the night – Kate Bosworth and Alexa Chung.

  • Jeannie

    @Macy: I think that hot mess of a bondage dress that she wore last night would’ve worked better for this event.

  • ladybug

    @Jeannie: It would have.

  • cindy callender

    Wonder if she and her so called fiance ran into Alexander? Would love to be a fly on the wall when that happens!!!!

  • Keiko

    Somebody on another blog made a really smart observation about Kate at the gala: she wore the right designer but the wrong dress. That sums it up perfectly for me, and it also shows how completely tone-deaf Kate is about fashion. Balmain is THE perfect designer for an event with the theme “Punk Glam”, but this is so horribly the wrong dress. It’s like somebody told her to go to Balmain…and then she had no clue what to do once she got there.

    As an aside: did anyone notice Kate was in attendance with THREE of her exes…well, two exes AND Chris Martin, whom it was heavily rumored she hooked up with before Askars. Anyway, awkward.

  • Fashionista

    @Rose: I agree with you. I also liked Sienna Miller’s look for this event.
    @Keiko: Olivier Rousteing is the head designer for Balmain. Balmain is a fashion house. So, I guess you mean Olivier is the perfect designer for this event. He designed Kate’s dress for the Met Ball. The detail in the dress is exquisite.

  • Macy

    Sienna Miller nailed the theme, so did Sarah Jessica Parker and Miley Cyrus IMO. Kate’s dress is pretty but there is nothing punk about it and if I were doing punk I’d go with Vivian Westwood or even Betsy Johnson (I know she doesn’t design gowns but the woman is super punk). The dress Bosworth wore to Harry’s party was more suitable for this occasion but it still would have missed the mark.

  • Keiko

    @Fashionista:

    Oh, Fashionista, aka Kate Bosworth or Kate’s spokesw*h*o*r*e: I couldn’t care less.

  • Whycantipost

    Tbh, I don’t hate the dress. Just the legs and the face… She looks alien in the face because of the makeup/surgery. If she had combined yesterday’s makeup with the dress I would have really liked the look. For the theme the dress isn’t fitting though, nothing punk about it.

  • Whycantipost

    She prolly thought; neon=eighties, so prolly punky. But no.

  • Macy

    You know how else nailed the theme? Madonna. She’s annoying as hell and not nearly as cool as she was 20 years ago, but she came looking punk.

  • Macy

    Taylor Swift looked more punk that Bosworth, and that’s saying something when a girl who makes hearts with her hands all the time pulls it off better than “fashion” girl Bosworth.

  • ladybug

    @Macy: I actually liked Sarah Jessica Parker’s look, at least she understood that it wasn’t supposed to be a red carpet look.
    There were some pretty dresses but they weren’t ‘punk’.

  • Macy

    @ladybug:
    Sarah looked amazing and her boots were totally bad*ss! She’s made for that kind of event because she gets that you have to take a risk.

  • ladybug

    @Macy: I loved the tartan thigh high boots. And that Jennifer Lawrence got to touch the mohawk.

    KB didn’t even do anything interesting with her accessories.

    Heck even Diane Kruger, who’s dress was so very not punk, at least had a spiked clutch.

  • Macy

    @ladybug:
    Well she had some eyeliner. *side eye*

  • Belle

    Well said, Keiko re: the idiot “Fashionista” – equally, Whycantipost, Ladybug and Macy – love your comments! This woman is such a freak so maybe she doesn’t need to punk up for the Met Gala’s theme, as she’s punked up her face more than enough for a decade hahahahahahahahaha not to mention making her look more than a decade older. That smooth waxiness is almost as scary as her “life partner”! Hahahahahahaha!

  • HelenBackAgain

    My God, someone has GOT to make her start eating again. Her joints are bigger than her limbs! It’s frightening. This woman cannot be well.
