Kiefer Sutherland Returning as Jack Bauer in '24' Event?

Kiefer Sutherland is reportedly in talks to reprise his beloved role as Jack Bauer in a limited series event of his fan favorite show 24, according to Deadline.

The show ended its eight season run back in 2010 and there have been attempts at making a film out of the series, but none have been successful.

It was announced earlier today that Kiefer‘s show Touch was canceled by Fox, but this would get him back on the network in an exciting new way.

The series is being pitched with a completely new story arc and longtime showrunner Howard Gordon, who is now the executive producer of Showtime’s Homeland, will return to helm the project.

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Kiefer Sutherland starring in a 24 limited series event?

Keifer played the role of Jack Bauer with passion and pride! Definitely I would love to see 24 remaked but still have the same tenacity that the previous showed had! Love Kiefer!

My husband and I just finished the entire 8 seasons on Amazon Prime. I am extremely sad that we have finished it! It has been by far.. the best series we have ever watched. Brilliant story line… action packed.. and the words suspense and thrill don’t even touch it! Jack Bauer… come back!!

Jack Bauer already owes us 47 hours, 19 minutes. This would go a long way to him paying us back —

24 is by far the best tv show ever on television fast paced, thrilling, unpredictable, action packed, rhetorical etc. all the aspects a great show should have.. been very very boring on tv without Jack Bauer shows on tv are just so slow for my liking this is the best news of the year, bring back JACK BAUER LIKE YESTERDAY ASAP. we need the thrill ride back not slow predictable shows that make you wanna slap your plasma screen “DAMMN IT” lol

First, really sad about “Touch” supposedly not being renewed. Thought that it was such an interesting idea and had so much potential. Loved the relationship between Martin and Jake. And thought that Amelia made a nice addition to the “family”. Really could see that nucleus in the future traveling around the world and helping the “36″. Not a smart decision on Fox’s part, so much more revenue potential in such a unique show as a package of a “three season” than a “two season”. But instead of a “13″ series of Jack Bauer, they should make a TRILOGY of MOVIES. And base them on “24/7″. Jack could have a really bad WEEK instead of a bad day. More flexibility in traveling worldwide, etc. Spread the financial risk over a trilogy and every time one comes out it ignites interest in the entire franchise of “24″. It worked for “Star Trek”. It would be fun to see Jack as an Argentine cowboy, or an Alaskan survivalist, or a Greek fisherman. The scenery could be an exciting part of the movies and freshen up the concept a little. Kiefer could show off his skiing, skating, and riding skills instead just shooting a gun. Although, all that action does get the heart going “pitter pat”. But what really got me saying OMG was when Kiefer kissed those ladies. A little bit of a wonderful mystery about how the quintessential “Everyman” can also be so devastating physically. More! Whether as Jack Bauer, or Martin Bohm, or any other character.
