Angie Miller's Tearful 'American Idol' Farewell - Watch Now!

Angie Miller tearfully sings the song “Never Gone” after being voted off of American Idol during the results show on Thursday (May 9) in Los Angeles.

The 19-year-old Boston native was shockingly eliminated and didn’t move on to the finals after being considered the clear favorite throughout most of the competition.

“It’s bitter and sweet,” Angie told THR after the show. “I definitely thought that with the whole hometown visit and how huge social media has been … I did feel kind of confident that I was going to make it.”

Too confident

I stopped watching AI early in this season when it became painfully obvious that the focus was on the judging divas instead of the contestants.

Ms. Angela Miller, You inspired a lot of musicians to get on with their creativity. It was really fun following your shows. I’m really glad you applied yourself and gave the viewers a really good idea of what you can sing. I hope you continue to play and sing. Love your “You Set Me Free song”, I watched it many times.

The judges tried their hardest to get Angie in the finals, but I was already tired of her. I’m so glad for Candace, though. I was very disappointed that they did not move her through last year.
Idol has never had a black artist who could sell records, though, or at least not at the level of a Kelly or Carrie or Daughtry. So unless she’s lucky and gets a role like Dreamgirls for Jennifer Hudson, I don’t see much of a career for her (unless it’s Broadway). Kree will probably do better; she’s country, but not your typical pretty little blonde.

She doesn’t need the title, she will do fine.

now i dont feel like i wanna watch finale

Kree will be chosen the winner. Country fans are fanatical when they want somone in and Kree has consistently been the highest vote getter, not Candice. Candice sings great, but her voice irritates me. I can listen to Kree all day long and not get tired of it. She knows how to sing a song without rendering it unrecognizablew. Candice changes it too much.

NO WAY should Angie have been gone before Kree. Kree got points because of her emotional story of having no parents, not due to her singing. How many times was she bottom two? And then you have Nikki calling Angie “Disney Princess”….and the videos tried to make her look stuck up. Kree hasn’t really been good for weeks and Candice will dominated her in a boring finale. Angie was the only one who could give Candice a run for her money.

She only lost because the judges made a big deal of the back story of Kree and Candice. they both got sympathy votes
