Carrie Underwood Covers 'Marie Claire' June 2013

Carrie Underwood adds a pop of color on the cover of Marie Claire magazine’s June 2013 issue, on newsstands May 21.

Here’s what the 30-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag:

On having kids: “I don’t feel old enough to have kids. I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?”

On her personality: “I’m not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a ‘let’s talk it out’ family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me – I was the accident – so I have the only-child syndrome going on. I’m a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean…I’m not a sociopath.”

On being awkward: “My husband calls me the queen of awkward moments. Anything that can be made awkward, I will make it awkward.”

with 30 not old enough? OMG some wish to be as healthy as obviously she is, to have kids.

# 2

she sounds like a crazy person.

I don’t think she sounds “crazy”… but I do think she sounds *selfish*. Which she’s aware of, so whatever. Glad she’s not having kids right now. *shrug:*

@piggy: There’s nothing wrong with wanting to wait to have kids. It’s not a big deal. Everyone’s different. Goodness.

I’m the exact same way as her, didn’t grow up in a very affectionate household. I’m a little more closed off, but in no way does that make someone crazy.
At least she’s not complaining about other people… *Cough* Taylor Swift. She’s being honest about herself, but not in a “feel bad for me,” “I want attention,” kind of way.

I don’t particularly like her, but she’s shown no signs that I should dislike her either. She just seems like a normal, low key person.

she is still young so if she doesn’t want kids now, she can still have them later on.

And there’s always different ways to get a baby.

Carrie seems real and that’s why I like her. She doesn’t seem to just babble on about something that’s not related to the question

god damn she looks hot!

# 8

I wonder what her husband thinks of her not wanting to have kids

I think i saw an article where he really wants them

Wow… My friend Emily has just married to a handsome wealthy black manThey met through ~~MìхedMàtchìng.Çoм ~~Serious interracial dating is an ideal platform for afro romance for black & white singles. So, if you want to look for people with which you can date, you are at the right place. You can meet(lawyers, busy professionals, benefactors. models, celebrities, etc….)perhaps you can have a try.

COOL……………..

She’s so awesome. And hey it’s her choice to wait to have kids… or even to never have any! Don’t judge.

I’m so glad she wants to wait to have kids!! I mean they’re great and everything but they slow you down quite a lot! she’s still a very relevant artist with a lot of succes she’s 30 not 40! she can wait and also Mike!

Good head on her shoulders and seems self aware. At least she is mature enough to realise that she is not ready for children.

not surprised. although outwardly she seems quite feminine there is something about her that is ‘off’ – a certain amount of coldness, which she obviously recognizes in herself. she picks a marriage where she rarely sees the guy and then doesn’t want kids… wants love but perhaps not real commitment

I’m glad she has decided not to have kids for now. Too many imbeciles raising mroe imbeciles. That ain’t good for the planet.
