Yay! Shakira is a much better judge. Christina came across as bitchy and petty while Shakira wants to help the contestants.

@cindy: I completely agree!! I am very pleased that Shakira will return…and Usher, too. The two of them changed the dynamic of the show and improved it! The light-hearted banter and the honest concern for the contestants made the show a joy to watch. Can’t wait for Season 6 !!!

  • Wendy Williams

Shakira did great I still prefer Christina over her but why on earth Usher has to come back for another season I can’t stand that guy 88

I much prefer Shakira and Usher as judges on the voice. Christina does not come across well as a judge. Cee Lo makes my skin crawl.

Even though christina has a big voice it doesn’t mean that she’s overqualified to be a coach.. I prefer shakira she’s so down to earth and beautiful inside and out.. love you shakira..1st season of the voice, to some people, adam levine and blake shelton were like who were they but they turned it around with their personality and great coaching..that’s why they are the most loved coaches on the voice unlike xtina and ceelo whose extrinsities were questionable. The best lady coach ever SHAKIRA because she puts her all to her talents. Love the Voice!

How funny Sakira’s fans start to hate Christina. C’om kids. They’re good in their own ways. If Shakira is better so tell me why the ratings in season 4 is flopping down? Even Carson said that Christina gives the real judgement, honest comments on contestants to improve themselves. But Shakira can’t. Sakira is afraid to hurt and can’t give her own opinions. That’s quite boring !
P/S: I dont hate Sakira, she is really unique and talented. But that’s what i think abt the show.

Other recent reports insist Christina is coming back for $17 million and that Shakira is indeed gone. I don’t know what to believe. Journalists have to get their facts straight.

  • Benny

Shakira is a good judge but really I still prefer Christina!! And Shaki fans, why the hate to Christina? please be mature people.

  • Benny

    @Matt: I Agree!!!

It’s not just Shakira fans that don’t like Christina. I was a fan of the show from day one, but never liked her attitude. I was indifferent towards Shakira before this season started, if even maybe a little unsure, but she has won me over. She’s a great coach and seems like a great person. She has provided a nice breather from Xtina. I’ll be sad to see her go for Season 5 but am looking forward to her return in season 6!

I was never a fan of Shakira before this show, but now I just LOVE her. And I can’t stand Christina’s diva attitude!

  • Debra

I just need Adam and Blake returning ‘for all cycles’, that’s enough for me

I like both Shakira and Christina as artists but as a coaches on “The Voice” I can’t say I miss Christina. It’s not about having one or the other, I’m sure there’s room for two female coaches, it’s just that Christina wasn’t generally too upbeat, optimistic, or easy with the compliments. I prefer a more positive approach than the one she takes. Something about the way she carries herself makes me feel like she’s thinking she’s better than everyone. While that may sometimes be the case–she has amazing talent–she’s not competing with them, so there’s no need to be snotty or compare their talents to her own.

  • Yeahhh

    TeamXtina is backkkkkk

I absolutely love Shakira and Usher as coaches, but I’m happy that both Christina and Cee Lo will be returning next season. I work at DISH with several people who were not happy that Shakira and Cee Lo would be “replaced,” but I think that after I share with them this good news, they’ll be ecstatic to know that their favorites are returning soon. The Voice is easily my favorite show on TV, and I never miss recording it. My DISH Hopper can hold up to 1,250 SD or 450 HD hours of recordings, so I know that I can always revisit my favorite performances because I’ll never have to delete any of them to continue recording full seasons of my other favorite series.

I like Christina, but she didn’t engage in the banter as much with the others so it made her seem a bit snooty – like she was too big for that. And her crappy comments to Tony Lucca rubbed me the wrong way. They came from the same start in music (MMC) so she should have been more supportive. However, in terms of picking talent and choosing the right songs, I don’t think Shakira is as good. She has made some odd choices.
