Hayden Panettiere: 'Nashville' Season Finale Recap & Spoilers!

Hayden Panettiere and her boyfriend/rumored fiance Wladimir Klitschko leave Nobu restaurant after having dinner together on Tuesday (May 21) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 23-year-old actress’ hit series Nashville ended its first season the next night and we have the low down on what happened during the season finale episode.

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!

Leading up to the finale, Hayden‘s character Juliette Barnes’ mother died of a drug overdose right after she killed the man who had threatened to release a sex tape of himself and Juliette. Also, the elder daughter of Rayna (Connie Britton) discovered that the man she thought was her father really is not.

Juliette decides that she is still going to go to the Country Music Awards right after her mom’s death. Her label head and old manager meet up with her backstage and try and talk her out of being at the show. She ends up leaving and visits her mom at the funeral parlor and says an emotional goodbye. We later find out that she won the award for Female Country Artist of the Year after her old manager brings the trophy to her house.

Rayna’s daughter Maddie asks Deacon if he is her father. He doesn’t know and asks Rayna backstage at the awards show. She tells him the truth that he is the father. Rayna leaves the show to go back to her house with her ex-husband Teddy and talk with their daughter, who is hysterical. She decides she wants to live with Teddy.

Deacon, who has been sober for years, leaves the awards show and goes to a bar and has endless amounts of drinks. He spends the night at the bar, and in the morning he attacks Teddy and gets pulled off by cops. Gunnar stops by his house and finds him drunk outside and calls Scarlett and tells him to bring his sponsor over. When they go inside the house with Coleman, Deacon starts a full out brawl.

Juliette has a funeral for her mom, which is attended by just her assistant, her bodyguard, and Rayna. Her former manager and Avery show up though. Back at her home, she gets a letter in the mail from her deceased mom explaining what she did.

In the meantime, Teddy has been dealing with problems regarding his former business dealing and embezzling. He gets called for questioning by government officials and goes to his former lover Peggy to see if she has said anything to them about it. She drops a bomb on him that she is pregnant.

During a montage of scenes happening while Juliette sings at a memorial for her mother we see: (1) Gunnar proposes to Scarlett, (2) Rayna gets into the car with Deacon and they are having a huge argument while driving and they get into a major car accident in which their car flips multiple times, (3) Will Lexington (guest star Chris Carmack) is spotted while on a date with a woman by someone that knows he is gay. He’s trying to make a career in country music so he tells him to go away with a movement of the eyes.
