Selena‘s Rudderless co-star Jamie Chung recently talked about how Selena‘s performance in the film is a departure from her Disney days.

“The thing is, she’s so talented, you’re really going to see a different side,” Jamie told E!. “It’s going to be a bit more fragile. I think it’s a side you’ve never seen of her. It’s quite fantastic.”

FYI: Selena is carrying a Dolce&Gabbana bag and wearing a Nashelle necklace.

co-stars arent exactly going to say he/she is untalented or not as good as you think because its about selling the movie/product and making sure people see them as nice and fair. if a co-star were to say “actually their acting was disappointing” not only would their fans be outraged (not of the co-star), but the public would automatically take sides.
rudderless did not intrigue me in any way until Lawrence Fishburn was linked to it and he is fantastic. the same way i had no interest in the Getaway until i realised ethan Hawke and Jon Voight were starring in it. shes so lucky that her co-stars are big oscar winning stars because she could not hold a mature movie on her own since her fans are quite young

@lala: I think that is her game plan to work with strong actors that are older to help her cross over one day to be able to hold a mature movie. If you notice she doesn’t take only lead roles, they all seem to be supporting so, she learns and grows. So, I dont think it is luck, i think it is smart decision making.
