    csfw12367 Says:

Besides the fact that is a ridiculous major especially if you spanish did she really go to class for this? or is it just another honorary degree? Because I didn’t go to college 5 days a week and study for hours for schools to just hand out degrees for celebs.

    ladyb Says:

I don’t know what chicano studies is but I know she’s intelligent.

    Dani Says:

Congrats, but she could have been a little more humble and let the other graduates also celebrate their big day. Instead, she’s hogging it all up for paps. Classless.

    White Says:

    @Red:
Probably more than you’re doing with your life.

    Tae Says:

Never knew you could get an degree in that.

    poof Says:

@Red: Chicano/a is a term used to refer to Mexicans growing up in the US. Chicano Studies refers to the study of Chicano/a’s, Latino/a’s and Mexican Americans.

    Way to go, Eva!

    Cate Says:

    Good for her.

    Laura Says:

@White: Is this an answer? And what makes you think that whoever writes in this site does nothing better with his life???? Ridiculous!

    Emma Says:

    White Says:

    @Laura:
Yes, that was an answer. And may I point out, an answer to a question that YOU did not ask. Mind your own business you dumb bi**h.

    melissa Says:

this is the equivalent of a basketweaving major – an easy subject to pass and totally useless. she’s into personal development though, so good for her. book coming soon…

    Laura Says:

@White: Stop writing comments and stay away from people!!! You have no idea how to behave!

    Nick Says:

JJ get your facts right it’s a honorary degree and really to add Master ‘s to this stupid major, It’s like allowing people to get a Master’s in Ebonc’s… …………..And with a Master’s in Chicano studies and a high school diploma you might be able to work a McDonald’s serving food .. Will in the Obama ecomny that’s a big might.

    chorizo Says:

I eat at Chipotle all the time. I am more qualified for that degree than she is. Ridiculous fool. We all know she’s dumb as rocks and unable to earn a degree in anything real.

    Ava Says:

Maybe if she got a degree in business or ecomnics instead of this ridiculous made-up major her restaurants wouldn’t have gone bankrupt and she wouldn’t have voted for corrupt Obama, but then again Longoria’s main point of interest is racial/ ethnic voting, I guess that’s were her “Chicano degree ” comes in handy.

    Coco Says:

So what field of work do you go into with a Masters in ” Chicano studies”, head cashier at Taco Bell .

  18. 18
    Ms. Know It All Says:

@Coco – you use it to sway Chicano’s to vote for your friend, Obama, the celebrity.

  19. 19
    JJ Yum Says:

Stop being so vulgar about education. Just because it’s not a professional/trades degree doesn’t mean it’s useless.

  20. 20
    Olivia Says:

Good for her, it’s something positive stop b**ching and it’s not like the degree will help her to get a job she’s an actress

    DarkEmpress Says:

Im really surprised at some people’s ignorance. Firstly this is not an honorary degree, she earned it. Secondly, any liberal arts degree requires you to develop writing, critical thinking and analysis skills, which is why for law school they do not care what program of study you do your undergraduate degrees in. Also, many jobs specify level of education not a field of study. Therefore if you have a master’s degree in anything you would be eligible for a management position in many industries. Most jobs can train you in the skills you need to perform them, they just want you to have a high level of education, because they know the hard work and intelligence it takes to earn a master’s degree. If they wanted you to have a specific skill, vocational training or college certification would be enough, which it isnt. Its best to have a high level university degree and follow up with college certification to be guaranteed a good job.
