Tom Cruise Cheers for the L.A. Kings!

Tom Cruise poses for a picture with Bailey, the Los Angeles Kings mascot, at their game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday (May 23) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 50-year-old Oblivion actor cheered as the Kings won 3-0 in game five of the Western Conference Semifinals.

In between the first and second periods, Tom made his way up to the Chairman’s room to meet up with singer Pia Toscano to congratulate her on a job well done as she performed the National Anthem at the game that evening.

Last week, Tom stepped out for the premiere and after party of the new J.J. Abrams movie Star Trek Into Darkness, starring Chris Pine and Benedict Cumberbatch, which is currently in theaters.

He can be old, and he can be crazy, but d@mn he looks good, and I admit I enjoy most of his movies. Since him and I aren’t gonna be best friends and hang out together, I guess that’s all good.

    My ignorance.
I had to Google to figure what game LA Kings played at the Sharks.
Dear Tommy, just stay single and focus on making blockbusters!

He looks a little weathered in that photo. No filter on the camera this time I suppose! LOL!

    @Suri the meal ticket:
Hi How was your week? I miss you.
Stay single? Why? Would not it be easier and cheaper to be true? Spend so much money with ex-wives, lawyers ….
By the way, I read that in his huge mansion beverly Hills, they (Cruise / Holmes) lived with their children (Isabella, Connor and Suri), plus also with her mother, sisters, nephews, in-laws …Ufa. How many people. Poor Katie.

  • TC drops U.N.C.L.E

Tom Cruise has exited as the lead in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the remake of the classic TV series that Guy Ritchie will direct for Warner Bros. Cruise was scheduled to star in the film with Armie Hammer, but he has stepped out of the picture to focus on producing and starring in Mission: Impossible 5. Paramount and Skydance are now planning to begin shooting the latest installment of that franchise before year’s end. Warner Bros has a script they like, and a top director who’s expecting to direct U.N.C.L.E. in the fall. The timing proved too difficult and so Cruise stepped out to focus on M:I5.

While it might seem that Cruise could squeeze in the film before moving to M:I5, that’s not the way he has worked on the Paramount franchise. In the last film, Ghost Protocol, he was heavily involved in planning and performing death defying stunts that included running along the glass exterior of a skyscraper in Abu Dhabi, about 124 floors high. He’ll want to do something to top that, so while the script is being written by Drew Pearce for Cruise’s Jack Reacher helmer Christopher McQuarrie to direct, this is an accelerated process and it will become the focus of the rest of the year for Cruise. The actor remains on good terms with Warner Bros, recently completing the Doug Liman-directed science fiction film All You Need Is Kill, which will be released June 6, 2014.

First Clooney, now Cruise, what’s the chance of success now with this reboot?

  • TC vs Tabloid Sleaze, Garbage

Tom Cruise and tabloid court battle to remain under wraps

A Los Angeles federal judge today signed a protective order to keep information involving litigation between Tom Cruise and the publisher of In Touch and Life & Style magazines out of the public eye.

In the secrecy order, signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Chooljian, both sides agree that “disclosure and discovery activity in this litigation is likely to include production of confidential, proprietary, trade secret or otherwise private information for which special protection from public dissemination or disclosure (and from use for any purpose other than prosecuting and defending this matter) is warranted,” according to the document.

The stipulated order is designed to “prevent and/or limit disclosure of such information and/or documents that have been and may be exchanged and/or produced in this case,” it reads, stating that such material must be treated as “confidential” for “attorney’s eyes only.”
“To falsely accuse him of abandoning his child crosses the line,” the complaint filed by longtime Cruise lawyer Bert Fields says. “Enough is enough.”

Fields said in a statement at the time the suit was filed that Cruise “is a caring father who dearly loves Suri. She’s a vital part of his life and always will be. To say he has ‘abandoned’ her is a vicious lie. To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible. Cruise normally “doesn’t go around suing people. He’s not a litigious guy,” Fields said.

“But when these sleaze peddlers try to make money with disgusting lies about his relationship with his child, you bet he’s going to sue.”

Fields called the magazines “serial defamers” that “take money from unsuspecting Americans by selling their malicious garbage. Having to pay a libel judgment may slow them down.”

Fields said any money Cruise might win would go to charity.

    Dear Anne,
I have been busy in the past two weeks, it’s the nature of my business, the summer is coming!
I read about tom’s huge mansion too. Heck, if he doesn’t share his big house with his mom and sisters, what would people say about him? Abandon! Plus, he may really enjoy having his family close to him, which I totally understand.
As for the *poor* KHo, she’s exhausted? C’mon, it’s pretty hard to laugh and puke a little bit in my mouth at the same time. Please note, it’s a big house with dozens of rooms, not like she has to jam in a 3/2 with Tom’s mom and his sis.
I also read that Tom’s mom and sis help take care of Suritard on top of the army of nannies and bodyguards.
What can KHo be stressed over? Oh, yeah, her own lack of talent and drive to succeed.
