Usain Bolt Loses 100 Meter Dash to American Justin Gatlin

Usain Bolt reacts after losing the 100 meter dash race during the IAAF Golden Gala on Thursday (June 6) at Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy.

The 26-year-old Jamaican sprinter, who is considered the fastest person ever and holds six Olympic gold medals, was beat out by American runner Justin Gatlin.

Gatlin finished with a time of 9.94 while Bolt come in second with an extremely close 9.95. Congratulations to Justin on his big win!

Not a fan of Usain Bolt but is Justin not the same Sprinter who was banned for 4 years? 9.94 is good but I’ll be impressed by Justin when he runs better than 9.63.

I’m not surprised at all. Those americans always want to be on top of everyone.

No cause for surprise, Bolt has been beaten before. I remember he was beaten right before the Olympics. There are so many track meets throughout the year that no one really hears about, but Bolt is really good at putting out his best performances when it matters most (like London 2012).
