Erin Brockovich Arrested for Drunk Driving a Boat
Erin Brockovich, who was famously played by Julia Roberts in a film about her life, was arrested for operating her boat under the influence of alcohol on Friday (June 7) in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.
The 52-year-old environmental activist was observed by a game warden trying to dock her boat at Lake Mead when the warden noticed she “exhibited several signs of an intoxicated boater.”
The Nevada Department of Wildlife says that the cop conducted an investigation and then arrested Erin for OUI (operating under the influence). Her blood alcohol content was almost twice the legal limit of .08.
The film Erin Brockovich was released in 2000 and Julia went on to win an Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in the film.
