So happy, I’m not a fan of Superman story but I think they did a great job with the movie. Hopefully this means Henry’s Cavill is taking off and we’ll see more and more of him.

  • ShakenNotStirred

Well deserved. I’ve seen the film twice now. Cavill is a perfect Superman.

  • Movie Cinema Today

The worst movie scam in cinematic history with the worst Hollywood cooked books since the last record holder. The amount of audience members disappointed at this disaster bomb far outstrips its unbankable bogus boasts at the box-office. This movie was an intended criminal scam and as the audience demands its money back the theaters have to give them their money back. That’s the way it goes.

  • lola-c

Saw “This is The End” and LOVED it! I’m happy it’s doing well!

  • Dd

Cavill all the way. He’s great as Superman/Clark Kent, Theseus and more as Charles Brandon;)

  • TeleVixen

Avoid this movie like the PLAGUE!! The MAJOR contender for WORST movie of all time. Worse than Green Lantern meets Steel. DO NOT buy a ticket to this, you have been warned. IT’S NOT EVEN ABOUT SUPERMAN. It’s an alternate universe version of Superman. It’s a scheme to sell you nothing in return!!!

No matter how you fix the numbers, Man of Steel is a POS and a FLOP, a BOMB. A complete disaster. No amount of marketing trolls can save it from itself.

Christopher Reeve will always THE Superman!

  • Haters to the left

This movie was AWESOME!!!!…….It was the Superman i was waiting for. It had great plot, heart, and action. GO SEE IT in .IMAX , so you can appreciate Henry Cavill’s beauty better.

LOL – the summer blockbusters premier Memorial Day in May. Premiering this in mid-June is no brainer, nothing else premiering. Would obviously be #1.

  • jodi

i saw “Man of Steel” and i loved it! i’ve never been a fan of superhero movies, but this movie definitely changed my views. great acting, great story line, and Henry Cavill brings charm and a boy next door feel to the character, even though he’s extremely gorgeous, lol. Must watch.

  • Darlene

Man of Steel is a horrible movie. It’s not even about Superman. There were lots of people walking out of my movie theater. These aren’t being reported a lot. Can they not make a good comic movie anymore?! Why dupe your audience?!

  • Lisa

BEST Superman ever. GREAT film. well worth the money. can’t say that about the movie After Earth that was awful and want my money back.

  • pup

I hope Henry Cavill’s career FINALLY hits the big time. He deserves it! He was perfection in “The Tudors”.

  • Philla

I have to say. I saw the original Superman this weekend at home (1978, Christopher Reeves) and he was the best!!!!!!!!!!! I totally feel in love with him as Clark Kent/Superman and I like that he wasn’t body builder cut steroids huge. Also, Superman didn’t have a attitude that’s such a turn off. Then I saw Man of Steel and……..I’ll stick with Christopher Reeves.

  • JFan VIDEO

Man of Steel was intended to basically scam audiences into buying a ticket, whether they see the movie for what it’s worth or not. Man of Steel is a criminal enterprise.

  • @Darlene

I was at the movie theater yesterday and everyone around me loved it !!!! Reading back some of the reviews posted by other movie goers on the site and the were almost all EXTREMELY positive.

  • LOL

^^^ looks like Marvel’s been paying people to attack DC films again in comment, shame. MAN OF STEEL WAS INSANE! sooooooo good! I’ve seen it twice and i’ve been itching to see it again!!

  • Tony G.

@@Darlene: Darlene is right. Where did you and LOL see this movie? You must have seen another movie than me because this Man of Steel movie is a stinking pile of junk. It’s a universally panned disaster. Universally panned!! It’s a terrible, terrible movie. How could you possibly confuse this with another movie or Marvel trolls? It’s just an awful mess. Don’t even spend a dime on seeing this crappy garbage stinking movie. It isn’t worth your losing your money or your time over.

    agree! LOL

  • MOS

The main unspoken reason critics panned the MOS film, while movie goers mostly loved it (see the ratings discrepancy on RT,, partly addressed by the RT head) is because a good number of the movie critics are non-Christians irritated by the obvious parallels between Superman and Jesus. They felt this movie promoted Jesus in some not so subtle ways, which, of course, it did! Here are some: both are age 33 when they sacrifice themselves, Superman gives himself up to save the world just as Jesus did, young Supes turns the other cheek around instead of punishing his bullies, the scene in the church, the cross-like pose when Supes exits Zod’s spaceship to save a plunging encapsulated Lois, the Ministry Resources website set up by MOS producers for church pastors, etc.
